Battle Supremacy: Ground Assault Switch NSP Free Download Romslab All I really expected was that I would control a tank and there would be some explosions, your typical power fantasy fulfillment kind of thing. While I did in fact get my explosions, I also got controls for my tank that were somewhat frustrating. Your right stick controls which way your gun is pointed, and thus, the camera as well. The left stick controls the movement of the tank. Pretty standard stuff. However, it’s hard to turn while moving since it’s not so much indicating direction as pushing the stick is more of a forward or back, and then turning left or right thing. Well, “tank controls” got their name from somewhere, right? There isn’t much of a problem with them at first glance since it is a literal tank that you are trying to drive. ROMSLAB

The problem comes in that when using your gun, you can get turned around and when you try to go forward as your camera points, your reversed tank can end up rolling in the opposite direction because you have turned yourself around. This was the cause of mild frustration and at least one time that I rolled my tank right off the top of a parking garage. Going into a first person view is also a little difficult to get used to since it takes a second press of the left trigger to go back out of it, which makes it slow and only useful for targeting at a safe distance a variety of game modes for those who are willing to explore them. There is a short campaign included that is more of a way for the player to get a handle on the controls.
Engines, hulls, tracks, turrets, mines, mortars, and of course, cannons, to create an incredibly diverse range of powerful and versatile combat vehicles.
What story there is is fairly bland, quickly told, and trope filled. This is not inherently a bad thing, though, since the story of a rouge military AI is not the main draw of the game. It’s the tank on tank action. The downfall being, is that your game controlled companions that are with you in the story mode are quite capable, leading to me having a tendency to hang back and let them do most of the work. In the first mission, I got a little lost and by the time I got to where the actual fighting was happening, it was already over aside from me taking a few small shots. There are additional missions once you finish the main campaign in a separate mode, Over 350 of them, in fact! Figment 2: Creed Valley Switch NSP

The purpose of there being so many of them is that after each mission, you are given 5 cards to choose two of, they are then revealed to give you customization options for your tank. While this adds a lot of variety, as someone who knows nothing about tanks, it was not particularly exciting to get these pieces aside from tiny bonuses that they would give. I can see how this would appeal to someone interested in the subject though, to make their dream tank. There is another mode that essentially simulates something of an online match with computer controlled players to duke it out with. They’re even given little names to make them individual and easy to tell apart for the tank-illiterate.
Players can develop and upgrade their own perfectly armored vehicles and essentially take the driver’s seat.
The King of the Hill mode having an actual hill in the capture area of the map I played, was actually satisfying in a childish way, too. During this time aside from attacking the enemies players must protect convoys, look for survivors and other war-themed tasks. Completing missions and other tasks unlock pieces of tanks that can be used to upgrade and customize your tanks. Aside from the main campaign, there are a few other ways to play. Custom gameplay where you can play from Last team standing, King of the hill, and my favorite Capture the base. Online play is offered, however, I never got paired in a match because of the lack of an online community. Filament Switch NSP

So I never had a chance to experience the two online play styles of Battle and Brawl. The last style of play Drills which were basically one-off missions with similar gameplay to that of the campaign. Playing it though did not come without rewards, once completed you earned another tank part to further customise your tanks. Battle Supremacy is pitched as a third person, tank combat game. That is mostly true, but you’ll also find yourself occasionally taking control of cars, boats, and airplanes. Gameplay is spread across both a single player campaign as well as online multiplayer modes, though I was unable to ever successfully find a multiplayer match.
Hundreds of millions of different vehicle combinations, as well as artistic personalizations through paintwork and accessories.
The campaign features four different maps with several missions on each one. These maps are huge. In fact, I found the size of the maps somewhat baffling as they are far larger than the gameplay ever requires. There may be some fun to be had exploring these massive environments were it not for your vehicle’s incredibly slow movement speed. Normally, I’d refer to a player avatar with poor control response as a tank, but in this case that wouldn’t carry the same weight. The tanks, which you’ll spend most of the game playing as, aren’t just sluggish, they’re unresponsive. It is as if the developers never anticipated the need for a tank to turn. Even going up a slight incline will hamper your movement to a deadly degree.

On the bright side, the turret itself is comparatively snappy. I found that my best bet in combat was to turn the turret perpendicular to the body and slowly drive back and forth to avoid enemy fire while sniping targets from a distance. Exciting, close quarters combat, which the developer seem to encourage through destructible environments, is unfortunately not a plausible strategy. Outside of the tank, the next most common vehicle is an airplane. These are much more responsive than their terrestrial brethren but somehow equally unwieldy. You control speed and a very slow yaw with the left stick, while pitch and roll are controlled with the right stick. Final Exerion Switch NSP
