This leads to an inevitable system meltdown and the disappearance of Kernel. It’s up to Boti and his companions to prevent viruses, bugs, and glitches from destroying the many components in the Computerworld. The journey takes you through various components of a computer and each of these level environments looks absolutely astonishing. From sewer-like levels to big modern cityscapes and the beautiful beach line. ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

All filled with lots of NPCs that resemble small capacitors, and platforming segments. The levels have a lot of details like beautiful waterfalls, plants, boxes, and other lively decor is the game’s biggest draw. The way the environments draw inspiration based on the workings of an actual computer are adorable. Like a recreation of a child’s imagination were they to think about the machinations of a PC. You have bots running around, fulfilling their duties or taking breaks. Some are at home, living their lives and watching the telly or throwing parties.
A friend whenever you want with gameplay that smoothly adapts between solo and two-players at any point in the game.
Other parts of the computer are dank and decrepit like the overworked graphics processing unit (“GPU”) or the far side of the world that the power supply resides in. It’s also a beautiful game. There’s a lot of energy to the world, be it the animated denizens of Byteland doing their thing (or getting smacked by you) or the varied environments that you’ll come across as you progress through the game. The lighting is excellent as it emphasises Byteland’s strong art direction and the reflections that come from the RTX features are a nice touch. Resope! Switch NSP

Do note however that this makes Boti quite a demanding game compared to it’s contemporaries. Graphical settings are limited, but the game does offer a dynamic resolution setting. The developers have mentioned the game is particularly demanding on your central processing unit (“CPU”) so bear that in mind. Zero and One who will help you through your journey as you try to uncover the truth surrounding the mysterious threat that has plagued Byteland. They will help you defeat bosses, and eradicate glitches, corrupted malware, and various viruses causing trouble and havoc throughout the beloved world.
Double jump, dash, hover, and glide through vibrant levels, discovering fantastic combos inspired by a world of robots, computers, and technology.
Their funny and clever dialogues make it an enjoyable journey as you learn to build a relationship with Boti and the other characters. One of my favourite characters in Boti Byteland Overclocked was believe it or not the Kernal. The Kernal is the Task Manager of Byteland who tasks you with a simple integration routine, collecting data, and then a very important mission that sets off the events of the threat. The Kernal to me has a very memorable voice that reminds me of the late actor Edward Asner who starred in films like Elf and Disney’s UP.Residual Switch NSP

The worker bots and those who call Byteland their home. Although they don’t all speak, they all have their own unique dialogues and interactions. For example, you will come across a construction boss who is looking for his lazy construction crew who are slacking off and hiding from doing any work, just give them a quick whack and you will wake them up reminding them they have a job to do. There are bots who are civilians living their everyday lives and a news bot that tells us breaking news on the threat of Byteland, so many different characters to meet and learn about.
Use your powers to solve puzzles, fight digital threats and conquer complex platforming sections.
While most Platformers offer decent bits of story to give the world life and offer you a reason to keep moving forward, level-based titles tend to opt out of heavy story aspects and focus on the gameplay instead. We’re happy to report that Boti does quite the opposite. In fact, I have a hard time classifying it as a level-based Platformer to begin with. There are indeed 8 levels that follow the story of Boti, a little robot inside the heart of a computer that’s going haywire. It’s up to you to get to the bottom of what’s wrong with the computer you call home and put everything back in order.

From the power supply, graphics card, network adapter, and more, the levels are all cleverly designed to give you the feel of going through an actual computer. The levels aren’t designed to be 3-5 minute areas you dash around through, collect some items, and see if you can beat your best time. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. It truly feels as though the levels are separated more specifically for the story otherwise known as the inside of a computer – of bugs, glitches, and viruses, and they inhabit a world that’s as bright and colourful as you could hope for a 3D platformer to be.
