Bouncy Bob 2 Switch NSP Free Download Romslab You can’t walk or run around in Bouncy Bob 2; you can only jump. That’s how dedicated they are to their signature mechanic here, and it yields some mixed results. Jumping isn’t super accurate or consistent in its execution. When you hold down the jump button, Bob will rock back and forth and an arrow will show you which direction you will jump. Holding down the button for longer results in a longer jump. You can aim by holding a directional button, which will stop the rocking and stabilize your jump in one direction. ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

Supposedly, you can hit jump again as you hit the ground or a wall or swing your weapon at the ground to launch yourself into consecutive jumps; I had a very hard time finding a consistent sense of timing for it, and was seldom able to actually execute these jumps. Your character is equipped with a sword by default, and you can attack in all directions by aiming with the left stick. The attacks often seemed as consistent as the jumping; there were a number of times where my blade seemed to pass right through an enemy without doing any damage.
You can try fighting alone but co-op with a friend will give you a much better chance to get a great score.
On the plus side, there were a number of times were a blade passed through me without doing any damage, so at least its fair that way. Scattered throughout the level in several of the modes are one-use weapon power-ups that add some range and power to your attacks, like throwing stars, bombs, and spears. You can also pick up extra health and armor to fortify your health bar. The infuriating control mechanic, in which you only control the angle of Bob’s jump at random, is always frustrating and never fun. Tower mode pits the player in one stage after another with the goal of defeating all the enemies before advancing. Spectrolite Switch NSP

Besides jumping like a schmuck, the only other verb the player as access to is a sword swipe but getting close to enemies on purpose is nearly impossible. Arena is the PvP multiplayer option in which the goal is to be the last man standing. Swarm is a horde mode that challenges the player to protect a statue from incoming enemies. The environment constantly expands so enemies storm the player from more outlets but is never fun like the rest of the game. Blender mode is a fake Fruit Ninja where the player bounces around a juicer and tries to slice randomly flying fruit.
Compete with your friends or computer players in this open mode. Up to 6 characters on one of 14 arenas for the ultimate chaos!
This mode is also frustrating as it is random at best and the player can only slice through fruit once. Volleyball probably has the most potential, as players swipe a ball back and forth over a net, but the inaccurate controls, attacks, and floaty physics quickly becomes tedious. There are also technical problems, like frequent and long load times, and my Pro Controller was unable to sync. From the outset, this is a game that smacks of being a rushed job to get something out as quickly as possible. The graphics are a lazy silhouette style of incoherent shapes and darkness. If it was done right like in Limbo for example, then this could have been a lovely aesthetic. As it is, it just looks messy, and often there’s so much black on the screen that you can’t see what you’re doing. Not that it matters anyway, because even if you can see what you’re doing, you never feel particularly in control of the game. Bob’s lack of proper locomotion is the unique selling point of the game, but it’s also its undoing. Firstly, there’s no way to adjust the height of the bounce, only the trajectory, so you can’t do short precise movements unless you want to jab at the button and sort of judder along the floor like a dog wiping its arse on the carpet.
Take on this single-player challenge to become a bouncy hero! Try to complete all arenas on the highest difficulty!
Add to this the fact that the character’s wobbling to-and-fro is much slower than the enemies’ movement, it’s an exercise in frustration as you’ve often lost half your health before you get him pointed in the right direction. Movement is simply a chore, and that sucks enjoyment from the game. There’s also a multiplayer mode, for lots of couch co-op fun. And by “fun”, I mean “immense frustration at the ridiculous control system”. But hey, a problem shared is a problem halved right? Seriously, don’t play this with your friends if you want them to remain your friends. It’s no more fun in multiplayer than it is in single player, and with so many great multiplayer games on the Switch.

The developers wanted to make something beautiful. The same could be said of the Titanic however, and we all know how that turned out hat lack of variety starts to chip away at Bouncy Bob’s replay value. The game’s premise is as simple as the control method, which is troublesome as we manage to clear all the stages in just over an hour. The repetitive soundtrack doesn’t help the situation either with only a handful of short, looping tunes cropping up that will see you grabbing the TV remote and turning down the volume in favour of your own music. Still, it may be to some tastes, but the game could do with a bigger playlist. Special Strike Switch NSP
