The game employs a classic two button layout: ‘A’ fires your weapon and ‘B’ jumps. No double-jump here sadly, it would be somewhat handy if there were. Kandar can take two hits before being killed, however, you can summon a tiny spirit (who serves as a firepower upgrade) when you’re down to your last health. And just like in Capcom’s classic, there are pick-ups spread across the game’s six levels. Luckily, a few modern innovations are present to assist players in their progress, such as frequent checkpoints that save your progress and weapon. Throw in the ability to change between various God-imbued powers on the fly, and you’ve got a recipe for updated but still brutal gaming fun. The game also features multiple endings that require solid work from players to reach. Have effects like increased protection, speed, attack, and so on there are large ones as well. These orbs either have silver armor or the Godsend orb inside of them. If you’re currently without armor, the silver armor will be your prize, but if you already have that armor, then the Godsend orb is what you get. In your normal form, you’ll be able to take two hits before dying. After the first hit, a small grim reaper appears by your head that will fire mini scythes at your enemies while you attack. This is a nice touch to help you make a comeback while in a weakened state. The silver armor makes you tougher and adds another layer of protection before dropping to that weakened state.
