Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party Switch NSP Free Download What sets Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party!!!! apart from similar rhythm games is that your avatar moves across a line that may twist, turn, and loop without much notice which resembles a roller coaster. This aspect makes the gameplay feel far more exciting than linear rhythm games because you really have to concentrate in order to adapt to whichever phase the current stage shifts to. Although I mostly love this element a great deal, I found that some portions were exceptionally difficult to gauge such as when the track goes in and out of the screen. Whenever this happened, I tried my best to stick with the rhythm of the song but sometimes. ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

you’re expected to tap at odd beats which really threw me for a loop whenever the track was entering one of its tricky phases. Oh, and you can play with motion controls via holding 2 Joy Cons separately but that just didn’t click with me so I stuck to using the buttons and sticks.Thankfully, Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party!!!! is bursting with a fantastic selection of songs that range from J-pop to Vocaloid. You’ll also come across songs featuring Hatsune Miku as well as remixes inspired by the Touhou games universe. Plus, there’s a handful of Taito tunes from games such as Bubble Bobble.

On the gameplay side of things, Groove Coaster keeps things fairly simple – a brief tutorial at the beginning of the game introduces players to the different kinds of notes, but basically players will be responding to them by pressing any button on either the left side of the controller, the right side, or a combination of both. The game is pretty flexible about this, even letting players use motion controls for some of this if they want the motion controls work fine and are reasonably responsive. But I don’t see any reason players would use them over traditional button controls. While this gameplay is fairly standard, I do give the game credit for having a pretty nice progression system, with players unlocking new songs, avatars, and other things not necessarily based on which songs they complete, but based on specific goals on a chart, such as “complete five vocaloid songs” and “get a perfect score on an Easy song”.
It can be called a Mix of Music
Groove Coaster boasts what can only be called an “eclectic” mix of music. There are tracks taken from Groove Coaster itself, of course, but the real fun is the video game, anime, and J-Pop music, and this track list includes songs that even the most casual fan will enjoy. Who doesn’t know Da Pump, for one example. Of course, I personally beelined straight to the vocaloid music, where there’s a lot from my favourite Crypton crew (Rin and Miku in particular), but there’s a good spread from less well known vocaloid personas too. With a “proper” Hatsune Miku game coming to Nintendo Switch next year, I’m glad that the developers broadened the voicaloid section beyond the obvious candidates, because those digital stars aren’t getting their own games. There is just one big issue with Groove Coaster’s treatment of some of these songs… for whatever reason, it’s not the full song that you’ll get to play. Other rhythm games do throw abridged versions of music at players too (Taiko the Drum in particular), but for whatever reason within Wai Wai Party those abrupt endings come across as more jarring. Music that just stops midway through can be frustrating, and while it’s always possible to abridge a piece of music so that it’s shorter, Wai Wai Party often feels like it is really just stopping part way through.
Wai can’t I make the background simpler?
Pretty well, actually. Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party!!!! isn’t a perfect arcade port, but it does translate the controls well enough to be a decent alternative. The sticks are ported to the ones on a pair of Joy-Con (or a Pro Controller), and you can use both sets of face buttons to hit the beats as well. You can also use the analog sticks to hit beats too, making this a versatile control scheme. The Switch version also allows you to use two Joy-Con and use waggle controls to match arrow directions, which is totally not recommended for high level play, but is a nice addition for slower songs. However, while I do believe that the controls are sufficient enough to enjoy the game, playing the game on hard or master makes me long for the traditional arcade scheme since the asymmetrical design of the Joy-Con make for some cramped movements. It’s the same problem I had with Superbeat Xonic; if you can find a controller that has analog sticks that run parallel to each other, this would make for a better experience. That said, it’s fine for mid-level casual play, but you will have to get used to it. Mortal Kombat 11 Switch NSP
