(It should be noted that longtime Wheel hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White do not lend their likenesses to this game.) These give the bland proceedings a touch of personality, and are a welcome feature. It’s also able to be enjoyed by younger and older players alike. However, I cannot recommend this title in good conscience. There are too many other interpretations of this classic game on the market, each with the promise of being better than Ubisoft’s Wheel of Fortune (2017). As an avid Wheel Watcher and former contestant, I can assure you that this game needs A LOT of work. The game itself is exactly what you know it as, but with lots of issues. Let’s start with the obvious – no Pat and Vanna! Sure, this is probably a licensing issue, but seriously? This game’s ‘Vanna White’ doesn’t speak a word EVER and the host uses the same phrases over and over again (super annoying), and says things that don’t even make sense to what happened.

The contestants are also extremely vanilla, with very little customization options besides outfits. They don’t speak, cheer, anything…just clap (still no noise) and do awkward poses. Besides the hosts and contestants, the gameplay is SO SLOW. If you’re going to play this game at all, use the touch screen in undocked mode (honestly one of the only nice features, I’ll give it that). If you play Wheel docked, the Joy-Con/Pro Controller has massive input lag. Also, if you’re using the Pro Controller, spin the wheel and get ready to cover your ears. I’ve never heard the Pro Controller make such an annoying sound in my life. The vibration is almost so intense it makes a high-pitched screech every time you spin. Let’s talk about the game breaking bugs, because there’s plenty of those too.
Story
Start up an online match and pray that nobody quits, because while the game is bringing in another player or AI, the game starts to glitch and skips your turn or another player until the game freezes up. From there, you’ll have to force close the game from the Home menu. Also, if you’re playing solo against other players (AI or friends), don’t hit the ‘Skip’ option too quickly between turns or sometimes it’ll freeze up. I often press it when AI’s are spinning/buying vowels because ‘Vanna’ takes forever to reveal the letters. One last thing – I love Wheel. It’s my favorite game show, and I’m so happy Switch is finally getting some game show titles. But Ubisoft should be ashamed. I’ve played better Wheel games on the Wii and N64. This is just awful. Even though it’s only .99, it’s annoyingly painful to get through one game. I really hope there’s some patches in the future because this game could be really fun if it ran how it should. Here’s your ‘buyer beware’, Wheel Watchers. I’m sure there aren’t many game show junkies like myself out there, but I’m writing this for anyone who has considered purchasing Wheel Of Fortune on the Switch. I’m not sure if Jeopardy! or the other Ubisoft games have similar issues like Wheel, but this definitely needs to be addressed.

- First you will need YUZU Emulator. Download it. Open it in WinRar, 7ZIP idk and then move the contents in a folder and open the yuzu.exe.
- There click Emulation -> Configure -> System -> Profile Then press on Add and make a new profile, then close yuzu
- Inside of yuzu click File -> Open yuzu folder. This will open the yuzu configuration folder inside of explorer.
- Create a folder called "keys" and copy the key you got from here and paste it in the folder.
- For settings open yuzu up Emulation -> Configure -> Graphics, Select OpenGL and set it to Vulkan or OpenGL. (Vulkan seems to be a bit bad atm) Then go to Controls and press Single Player and set it to custom
- Then Press Configure and set Player 1 to Pro Controller if you have a controller/keyboard and to Joycons if Joycons. Press Configure and press the exact buttons on your controller After you're done press Okay and continue to the next step.
- Download any ROM you want from Romslab. After you got your File (can be .xci or .nsp) create a folder somewhere on your PC and in that folder create another folder for your game.
- After that double-click into yuzu and select the folder you put your game folder in.
- Lastly double click on the game and enjoy it.
NOTE: Some games may not run in Yuzu emulator, therefore you may use Ryujinx.
