Accomplishing Jackie and Jones’s goals will allow you to earn XP. The first goal is to focus on Jackie asking everyone at the Circus about Hattie, while Jones is trying to figure out what everyone’s alibis were at the time of the murder. Once you’ve found everyone, you can earn XP to trade in at Tito’s fortune-telling tent. But who’s Tito? We’ve met Jackie and Jones, but they’re only part of this ensemble cast.

From this context, two protagonists emerge who begin to investigate the events: the illusionist Jackie and the detective Jones. The strange thing is that both find themselves involved in peculiar circumstances: while Jackie receives an enigmatic note from Hattie, asking him to replace her in case of an emergency, Jones wakes up in the circus without his clothes and with his recent memory fragmented. This mysterious content cannot be enjoyed in Portuguese, as our language is not among the available subtitle options. One of the most common devices used in crime thrillers is the introduction of several incomplete clues, leading us to wrongly suspect some characters. However, this tactic can be quite frustrating and even cowardly when, at the end of the story, it is revealed that the real culprit is someone who barely figured in the plot, making it impossible for the viewer to anticipate his identity.
