It’s been a while, so when a mechanical man from the 10th planet seeks Dexter with a very important message to convey, things get interesting. It seems that Dexter Stardust is the key to saving not only humans, but also the Vreesians! Dexter Stardust and his friend Aurora must now go on the greatest adventure of their lives. When moving around each area, double pressing the A button will make your character run. The items you collect are added to your inventory, which you can review by pressing the L buttonl. Luckily, one screen over you’ll find some sturdy reeds, and if you break a piece off, you can use that as the handle to power up the 3D printer. Why are you doing all of this? Because there’s a giant octopus arm on your way, and unless you shoot at it, there’s no way you can move closer to the bridge on the background without dying! The most intriguing aspect of Dexter Stardust is the developer’s commentary which gives behind the scenes information relevant to the current screen that you are exploring at that moment. If you’re looking for a fun point and click adventure game on Nintendo Switch with hand-drawn art, a crazy story with full voice acting, puzzles that pay homage to the classics while also adding some 21st century quality-of-life improvements, and being able to play the game with physical controls or by using the Nintendo Switch’s touchscreen when playing on the go.
