The game’s plot isn’t *that* great though and isn’t helped by the weird presentation… When I say presentation, I’m talking about the fact that the routes are divided into “chapters” which is fine in theory but these chapters are super short and seem to cut off often before anything “juicy” actually happens, leading to a slight sense of dissatisfaction. I mean, you do get used to it after a while but I couldn’t help but wonder if a more standard presentation would have benefited the game. It’s also worth mentioning that the game is on the shorter side with each route being approx 3 hours (including the after story) so that should give you an indication on how short the individual chapters are.

Due to this, there are very few scenes featuring more than one brother, which does make sense based on how jealous they all are of each other but was a shame because there are a couple of funny scenes with them all that I would’ve liked to see more of. Even before I started the game, I figured that I probably wouldn’t like Ayato and his route never really changed my mind. Found him to be over-the-top and just a rude asshole most of the time. I mean, he does have a tragic back story (as do all of the brothers) so you can see how some of his behaviours developed but he was just not my cup of tea. Also figured that I wouldn’t like Laito (because overly perverted characters aren’t really my thing lol) and I was not wrong. Hoping that his masochistic side would show more throughout the game but it really doesn’t. Even Yui kept questioning why she was falling in love with him, which was quite funny but just highlights how unappealing Laito generally is.
