Dreamscaper Switch NSP Free Download Dreamscaper is an action roguelite from three-person developer Afterburner Studios. Diverging from many other titles in the subgenre, Dreamscaper manages to turn the formula into a surprisingly emotional experience as players fight against a woman’s trauma in her dreams while her growing relationships in the real world give her the needed strength to overcome it. Though there is one particular stumbling block the overall experience otherwise skews highly positively, making the game on that is well worth checking out. ROMSLAB.COM BEST SWITCH GAMES

Dreamscaper tells the story of Cassidy, a woman who has moved from her tiny hometown of Backhill to the larger town of Redhaven. Prior to the time of the game, Cassidy suffered severe trauma that still haunts her dreams. In these dreams, Cassidy fights through dungeons based on locations she knows, where she needs to overcome bosses who represent specific parts of that trauma. Each time she is defeated, she wakes up and the dream starts again from the beginning. There are six dungeons and bosses to defeat for a completed run, but even a successful run is far from the proper end of the game.
Dreamscaper: A beautiful, moving adventure
Her dream world is one of nightmares and monsters. Representations of locations from her life are overrun by beasts and traps determined to take her down. As Cassidy moves through these strange, surreal worlds, she faces bosses born from her negative emotions. Fear, Isolation, Sorrow… Manifesting as colossal monstrosities to be fought with blade and bow, Cassidy’s neuroses are well and truly out to get her. Like Dead Cells, Dreamscaper is very good at rewarding any progress made, even when you fall. A new addition since I first played are currencies in the form of inspiration and ideas.Retro Machina Switch NSP

When Cassidy wakes, she can explore her new hometown. She can visit places like a bar, bookstore, cafe and park. In these places, Cassidy can make friends with the townsfolk, giving them homemade gifts or getting to know them. Each person can unlock a different positive element in our empathetic heroine. One, for example, gives her “wonder”, another gives her “courage”. These positive emotions manifest as equippable buffs in the dreamworld, affording you increased stats or abilities during each run.
Dreamscaper under the covers
Dreamscaper is all about the loop. Every night, Cassidy has horrible dreams and must get as far as she can into them before the monsters overcome her. The nightmare areas are composed of procedurally generated rooms arranged in a grid, and the layout changes with each visit. There are combat rooms, challenge rooms, bonus rooms, puzzles, shops, and boss fights. As you go on, you’ll receive random gear with randomized bonuses typically including melee and ranged weapons, shields, dodges, spells, and keepsakes (beneficial effects).Return of the Obra Dinn Switch NSP

There are six areas in all, each capped with a giant boss battle. When you die, Cassidy wakes up, and she can see friends in various locations, giving her new stats. You can also use materials gathered in the dream world to give Cassidy persistent buffs, alter certain aspects of the nightmare dungeons, and insert new gear to find. It falls into a rhythm right away, one that fans of the genre will be familiar with.
Wake up, sleepy head
You can build upon the isometric dungeons of Cassidy’s dreams. Spending inspiration allows you to create new room types, such as challenge and puzzle rooms. Or you can draw new abilities in Cassidy’s sketchbook that she’ll take over into her dreams. It’s such a cool concept that you forget it’s been done before in different ways. Scattered memories offer an insight into Cassidy’s shattered past, but it takes some work to piece it all together. Reverse Crawl Switch NSP

Combat is a mix of ranged and melee attacks. Weapons such as swords and daggers are run of the mill, but there are also martial arts, enchanted bats, finger guns, fireworks and boxing gloves. Lucid abilities allow Cassidy to take control of her dreams, martialling her imagination into powerful spells. A dodge move can also be customised into a short-range teleport or a shift that leaves behind a trail of fire, and you can parry attacks with shields, energy barriers and forcefields.Rhythm Fighter Switch NSP
