GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle Switch NSP Free Download Romslab As a huge fan of Azure Striker Gunvolt, I was super-excited to play especially because I love the series’ music and even own multiple CDs of the soundtracks. Thankfully, I was not disappointed which is good because I’m usually very bad at rhythm games. You play it by tapping or holding 2 shoulder buttons to the rhythm and on top of that, you’ll have to occasionally flick the sticks in various directions. Doing so is intuitive because you don’t have to move your fingers around the controller at all. Plus, the music is awesome ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

The visuals are either from the games or feature characters performing the songs and their 3D models are absolutely adorable. Throw in the ability to watch the tracks as if they’re music videos and extra DLC and you’re left with a lot to groove to the musical aspect of the franchise, bringing together the main compositions, along with some new songs, performed by the charming cyber divas Lumen, Lola and Luxia. Next, we’ll explore this fun title and evaluate whether it’s worth buying a ticket for this musical spectacle.
A new rhythm music game starring the songstresses of the Azure Striker Gunvolt series, Lumen, Lola, and Luxia singing 15 different songs.
At the time of publishing this article, two of the five sets are already available for purchase in the digital stores where the game is available. Let’s start with the good: Gunvolt Records Cychronicle’s rhythm mechanics are easy to get into: different notes that come down the music lane (to the beat of the song) require you to press the correct inputs. Left/right green rectangular notes? Tap the L1/R1 or face buttons/d-pad. Arrow notes? Hit the left/right analog stick flicks. Arc notes? Tilt the respective analog stick to where the arc starts then move it in accordance to the motion required (which is usually an arc). COGEN: Sword of Rewind Switch NSP

Lesser difficulty means less inputs, while the higher difficulty means doing multiple inputs at once, meaning a helluva workout for your thumbs and fingers. Hitting glowing notes means more multipliers, while not missing a beat means your cumulative score gets higher. Hit the notes perfectly, and you get a better score than being late or early with your inputs. It’s simple to get into and intuitive once you’re done with the first song or two, and it also gets challenging if you attempt the highest difficulty. Of course, these games all boils down to setlists and overall presentation during the gameplay.
Should repeated misses cause you to fail a song, their Anthem abilities will revive your run, allowing players of any skill level to enjoy the rhythm gameplay without worry.
Hope you love saccharine J-pop because that’s all you’ll be getting the majority of the time. No slow songs or power ballads here; just high BPM music with some unique instrument insertions (like violins and Middle East percussions) that will cause niche fans of the Gunvolt games to break out dancing. As someone who recognizes only a fraction of the tunes (Azure Striker Gunvolt being the only game I played in the series), I find most of the songs kinda catchy in the context of the rhythm game. I would only listen to one or two (“Purification” & “Virtue of the Dawn”). Coffee, Plis Switch NSP

They’re inoffensive enough to endure through and play. Though I have to add that the starting verses of “Purification” sound like the verse of Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like A Wolf”. I can’t really say good things about the overall presentation though. The game greets you with a pretty cool model of one of the muses (which you can change anytime, in case you want the well-endowed tanned one from the third Gunvolt game). However, the in-game concert video segments featuring the muses and their key songs (the ones with the ‘Play” button next to the name) look compressed and fuzzy.
When you’re flicking in 8 different directions and sliding in arcs on the analog sticks, your movements will synchronize with the dancing divas in the background
Some of them can get distracting, especially the songs with Luxia in the video where her yellow stage and light shines can make the oncoming notes in the lane blend in, possibly screwing up your perfect run. First off, there’s no need for in-depth knowledge of Gunvolt’s games to play Cychronicle. The game will throw you right into a music select screen on boot up, allowing you to switch between four difficulties, adjust game options, and pick one of the game’s three Muses to rep your menu screen: Lola (my favourite), Lumen, and Luxia.

The game’s songs, as far as I can tell (and remember) are all songs from the IP’s rich vocal discography and are naturally JPop-focused. Thankfully this means the song’s are far better suited for rhythm gameplay over other game franchises that inevitably make their own spin-off rhythm game (Hello “Twilight Town”). Cychronicle’s rhythm gameplay is fairly simple for the most part. You have two lanes, one for each side of your controller’s face buttons: the D-pad and left bumper/trigger handle the left lane and vice versa for the right you also have notes that rely on your analog sticks.
