The Lightbringer Switch NSP Free Download The Lightbringer puts players in the role of a young boy who has been challenged to become the titular Lightbringer, meaning he must collect the pure light energy from his surroundings and use it to cleanse a dark corruption that has plagued the world. He’s led on this journey by the spirit of his sister, who narrates the tale and warns him of the dangers ahead. She failed on her mission to prevent the darkness from spreading, so strives to ensure her brother doesn’t suffer the same fate. Interestingly, she guides him through nice poetic verse, which adds a light-hearted vibe to the foreboding tale. ROMSLAB.COM BEST SWITCH GAMES

You know, ‘foreboding’ is probably a bit of a strong word, because there’s an air of whimsical vibrancy to The Lightbringer’s world and gameplay. Whilst there are dangers to encounter, there’s also something that feels peaceful about your surroundings. Whether it’s the picturesque landscapes, the folk getting on with their everyday life, or just the charming vibe of the adventure, The Lightbringer never feels as dark as its narrative might imply (and I mean that in a good way).
Story
The Lightbringer is a simple story of a boy who tries to rid his world of corruption with the gentle guidance of his sister. Shortly into the very first level, you acquire a boomerang and when you couple that with the fact that it’s a 3D platformer, you may think that it plays like TY the Tasmanian Tiger but it’s a much less varied experience overall. In fact, its elaborate stages that you’ll have to constantly rotate actually reminded me a great deal of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker except this is more action-oriented as you can double-jump and fend off slime-like enemies with your boomerang. Overall, it’s a familiar formula yet one that feels like a rather fresh change of pace, too. Sokodice Switch NSP

Playing The Lightbringer is easy and intuitive as you simply run and jump around and you can hold a shoulder button to aim in-place then use the right-stick in this mode to rotate. This makes aiming super-easy, especially considering you can charge your boomerang throw and unleash it whenever the time is right. Speaking of which, the enemies are slime creatures that can be hopped on when unarmoured but otherwise, you’ll have to use specific tactics to take them down such as hitting their exposed rear or triggering them then dodging out of the way before they explode. There are bosses, too, which I found much easier than the actual levels but they’re cool nonetheless.
Outside of combat
you’ll be doing all sorts of light puzzle-solving by interacting with wind-up levers, attaching found cogs, getting blown around by fans, and observing moving machines and platforms while timing your jumps perfectly which adds up to quite a varied campaign that’s full of beautiful and tightly-packed stages. Now that I mention it, the visuals are simple and lovely and the atmosphere is pitch-perfect with a suitable soundtrack, satisfying effects, and your sister’s (somewhat) rhyming couplets that are voiced throughout.Songbird Symphony Switch NSP

Progressing through The Lightbringer’s campaign merely requires reaching each level’s goal but along the way, you’ll discover loads of collectibles and whenever you completely master a stage, it’ll display a Completed banner on it which is rewarding. Specifically, each level has a bunch of green gems, a few red crystals, pieces of lore that are activated by ringing bells, and some health-up potions which I don’t think are required to master a stage. Anyway, finding everything is tricky because some of the items can be very cleverly hidden.
the first downside
That actually brings me to the first downside which is that The Lightbringer could use a map because the stages become increasingly complicated. I even accidentally trekked all the way back to the starting point on a few occasions after taking a wrong turn somewhere. Another annoying aspect is that some parts are overly sensitive so falling off a bridge that appears connected yet isn’t or sliding to your doom after a platform moves a bit can be exceptionally frustrating. This is especially true when you consider the fact that once you run out of hearts, you have to start the entire level all over again and some of them can take about 15 minutes or more to complete. The Lightbringer is a beautiful game that’ll appeal to anyone who enjoys 3D platforming with elaborate puzzle-filled stages. I wish that it was a bit more forgiving with its continue system, though, as playing through a lengthy stage again can be a huge pain in the tuchus.
