Solstice Chronicles: MIA Switch NSP Free Download Romslab The Red Solstice, in that they take place in the same world and have a nearly identical graphical style but share almost no gameplay or story elements. The premise: a virus wiped out most of life on Earth, and when the last dregs of humanity fled to Mars it followed them, turning human beings into horrible (but enjoyably killable) monsters who long only to feed. The new game throws in a conflict between the Insurgents and the Corporation and a storm that’s tearing the few colony buildings apart, making Mars overall a pretty terrible place to be. As a Corporate soldier (or group of soldiers) left behind after a particularly nasty monster attack, you’ll be forced to team up with Saffron, a heavily-modified and not-particularly-sane Insurgent drone in an attempt to survive. Survival really is the objective here, far above any story trappings about finding a cure or reuniting with the Corporation. One of the most unique and interesting things about MIA is that, unlike the Doom comparison I drew in my opening paragraph (and which the game itself references in one of the loading screen messages) you can’t kill all of the monsters.
A marine falls far behind enemy lines in an abandoned Martian colony. It’s unlikely he’ll receive help.
Creatures spawn infinitely, with a meter at the top showing you the density of monsters at any given moment. As a result, the game’s mostly about exploration and resource management – though the first few levels are so easy as to be downright dull, you’ll soon be panicking as you try to stretch out your meager health and ammunition to last you to the end of the level. If you spend your time trying to bring the Threat Level down, you might not have enough ammo to deal with something like the Behemoth later in the level. But if you just try to run past without wasting any ammo, you might get chewed up by thousands of little guys. LiEat Switch NSP

Every decision in the game has a cost – not a Telltale-style “a character will remember this” cost, but a cost paid in blood when you get torn apart by endless waves of horrible beasties. It’s easy to understand the appeal to video game designers. “Isolation” easily translates to cramped corridors and rooms, which makes the job easier for the level designers. “Hordes of biological weapons arrayed against the heroes” translates just as easily to the short, action-heavy loops that make for easy (but enjoyable) gameplay. Finally, science fiction is a setting that allows character artists and the like to get away with just about anything.
Will you search for supplies? Or will you charge into battle? Which weapons will you use?
We’ve seen some truly brilliant examples over many years now, from the seminal Alien Breed through to the recent Alienation. As you can probably imagine, there’s a lot of derivative trash as well. Solstice Chronicles: MIA isn’t trash, and works well on the Nintendo Switch as something for some great pick-up-and-play action on the game. But it is painfully derivative. The best feature that Solstice Chronicles has to offer is the way it uses the hardware. These kinds of games are best enjoyed in multiplayer, where you can yell rudimentary tactics out at your buddy to make combating the hordes – and the bosses – that much more engaging. This is especially true when, like in Solstice Chronicles, there are multiple different classes of heroes to choose between, each of which brings different abilities to the team. Working together is genuinely good fun. With the Nintendo Switch, you do get that on the go. It’s not the perfect experience because the murky visuals combined with the zoomed-out isometric, top-down perspective make it easy to miss details or enemies, especially in the heat of the action when there’s dozens of them on (the relatively small) screen at once. Nonetheless, it’s very playable stuff. Apparently in response to these factors, Ironward seems to have wanted to make something.
Action-packed levels with entertaining cutscenes await you. In Survival Mode, you fight against endless waves of enemies.
A little more in line with what hyper-active, fast-twitch gamers (with miniscule attention spans) desire: More and more action. Curiously, instead of the steadier pacing of traditional action RPGs which use point-and-click control schemes, their newest effort, Solstice Chronicles M.I.A, forgoes those in favor of a twin-stick shooter set-up. One thing that sort of threw me off when I first booted the game up was that there were numerous grammar and punctuation errors. I know that Ironward is a Croatian game developer, but couldn’t they have had someone who can edit English competently make a basic pass at the game?

Fortunately, once you get past the sloppy and amateurish initial presentation the meat of the game isn’t all that bad at all. The backstory is one of the elements that really hooked me in. Similar to The Red Solstice, a catastrophic viral epidemic has broken out on Earth and transformed much of its populace into ravenous, mutated creatures. In a last ditch effort to survive, the remaining unaffected humans blast off to Mars and build several colonies there with the hopes that they can somehow develops a cure to the epidemic later on down the line. Corporations soon take control over the colonies, prompting several Martial wars to erupt as they vied for supremacy. Life Goes On Switch NSP
