G DARIUS HD Switch NSP Free Download It would have been quite something to witness G-Darius’s directors explaining their ideas to the programming and graphics staff. For a series that had already gone well beyond the standard content for a shoot-em-up, and the most recent entry, Darius Gaiden, featuring 28 elaborate stages, they were probably fearing the worst. And rightly so. G-Darius, the first fully 3D title in the series, is immensely ambitious. It reduces the total number of stages to fifteen but splits each of them down the middle, allowing you to pursue two totally different routes after a few minutes play.ROMSLAB.COM BEST SWITCH GAMES

This is handled by a visual countdown bar that requires you to be flying either in the upper or lower quadrant of the screen to choose the direction you wish to head. Demonstrated flawlessly in the opener as you race across the sea, you can either climb skyward to witness a warship destroyed by an off-screen laser, or descend beneath the surface of the ocean, where underwater trains travel through glass tunnels embedded in the coral.
LURKING IN THE DEPTHS AND IN THE SKY
G-Darius HD is an aquatic-themed shoot-em-up, or “shmup”, built around a gauntlet of monstrous robo-alien enemies with screen-filling attacks. Like other shmups of the era, it’s not so much meant to be beaten, as overcome. You learn it, inch by inch, pixel by pixel, until you can race through it again and again chasing high scores. The game can be completed in about twenty minutes, but only after you’ve learned its every enemy pattern, every last-second dodge.Hunting Simulator 2 Switch NSP

G-Darius HD‘s port is pixel-perfect, right down to the arcade board lag caused by too many enemies on screen. Perhaps there’s such a thing as too much fidelity? As it is, this is less HD remaster and more of a mild 32-bit upscaling, the graphics coming through crisp, clear, and unmistakably 1997. True, that was also the case for the recent Dariusburst: Another Chronicle EX, but that game was from 2010. Players expecting a fresh new coat of HD paint on G-Darius may be disappointed.
CATCH AND RELEASE
If anything, G-Darius HD is slightly more forgiving than others in the series. The novel ability to “capture” enemy ships, instantly converting them into support units, really changes the gameplay. It’s quite cool taking on a massive foe, only to inundate it with “capture balls” until you’ve taken control, the fish-like ship falling in behind you and blasting at its former allies. I also like how your ship automatically reorients itself to face oncoming enemies.Hyper Light Drifter SE Switch NSP

A boss drops down unexpectedly from above? Your little space lasers automatically point upwards, without you having to worry about it. Really, the only minor annoyance – aside from the dated graphics and slowdown – is the fact that some boss fights drag on forever. Some of the fun is sapped away when that damn Giant Space Piranha just won’t give up. It’s liable to give a gamer space hydrophobia.
UNIQUE FEATURES
One of the unique features in G-Darius HD is the ability to capture enemies and use them to help you fight back. In Darius Gaiden, the preceding title, this ability was limited to capturing weak mini-bosses, but in G-Darius, they improved the system and gave the Silver Hawk a set amount of capture balls to shoot at just about any enemy in the game (Excluding bosses) to take control of. This is an awesome mechanic that really changes the game up.Hypnospace Outlaw Switch NSP

It is so much fun figuring out what ships you can capture and how they can benefit you. And benefits are something you definitely need, because the boss fights in G-Darius HD are some of the most challenging and mobile bosses in the genre. Many of the bosses throughout the 15 branching levels demand you to survive a gauntlet of attacks that are usually split up into different stages.
