G.I. Joe Wrath of Cobra Switch NSP Free Download Romslab four characters to choose from; Scarlett, Snake-Eyes, Roadblock and of course Duke. Doesn’t matter which character chooses they each have a basic standard attack and a heavy attack that can theoretically mixed together to make combos. I say this is only ‘in theory’ because combos only ever happened every so often. Each of the attacks just feel shallow and only transitions to combos if players hit the attack button fast enough. There are special attacks that players can perform when their power gauge is full but even these just ring hollow. ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

Weapons can be picked up from the ground and all of the gun’s fire like blasters just like in the cartoon which was a nice shot of nostalgia. Even the nostalgia isn’t enough to help this game out, the combat just feels so floaty. In a timeline where we have the fantastic TMNT Shredders Revenge, Streets of Rage 4 and more this G.I. Joe game just feels like it was slapped together to make use of the license. Which is a damn shame because this franchise hasn’t had a good video game since the NES version. Not even the boss fights help to liven this one up and feel just as boring as beating up nameless Cobra grunts.
Like Destro’s plots, Wrath of Cobra will continue with extensive post-launch support, bringing more G.I. JOE heroes into the fray,
Which how do you mess up a fight with Cobra Commander in 2024?! I just don’t get it. As far as beat ‘em ups go, I had a good time with G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra. The 12 stages you play through give ample room to showcase a large variety of notable locations for long-time fans, along with a whole host of classic enemies. One feather in the cap of the G.I. Joe series in general is that there’s a whole lot of different enemies throughout the series and toyline, giving the developers the option to really diversify enemy encounters and enemy types throughout, keeping the action from feeling stale. I really dug the art style in Wrath of Cobra, and thought the sprite-work was great throughout. Seeing 2D versions of classic vehicles was also pretty cool, as was the large variety of boss encounters you’ll come across. Just about every notable Cobra villain makes an appearance here, which was nice to see. That’s gameplay in its entirety, more or less. If you’ve played any other games in this genre it will feel immediately familiar. It doesn’t really do anything new in this respect and concentrates on getting the fundamentals of the genre down. G.I.JOE: Wrath of the Cobra succeeds in this.
Themes, reimagined by industry veterans at Kid Katana Records, bringing a modern twist to classic arcade music!
Move feels a little slippery to me, as if the player doesn’t have quite enough weight or traction behind them, but it doesn’t impact the game. By no means is this a deep or innovative beat ’em up, but I honestly don’t think that depth would have been necessary for a game like this one. You have a light attack, a heavy attack, a block button, a jump button, and a meter that allows you to perform a special attack, depending on the character you’re playing as. You can also pick up weapons such as laser rifles and tasers, and they work as well as you’d expect. Extreme Skyway Racer Simulator Switch NSP

My only real issue with the implementation of ranged weapons is the fact that, whenever you decide to attack while sprinting, you will automatically throw your gun away. You can get used to this weird gameplay decision, but it doesn’t make it any less cumbersome. I have a qualm with this game, though. No, it’s not the presentation, nor the stupidly short runtime (it’s an arcade beat ’em up, it is meant to be replayed). The issue is that this game is clearly meant to be played with more people, locally. That wouldn’t have been an issue on a console, but for some weird reason, as of now.
From the fast and nimble Snake Eyes to the rough and tumble Roadblock, each character is true to form!
While other modern brawlers have done interesting things with their mechanics, G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra feels comparatively basic. While Streets of Rage 4 offered creative use of special moves and Shredder’s Revenge offered some superb movement mechanics, Wrath of Cobra…has guns. Various firearms drop throughout the levels and can be used to blast enemies from across the stage. It’s not the most interesting addition, but there is some satisfaction to be found in blasting enemies from across the stage for a moment. Sadly, they can turn those guns on you too, which is much less satisfying to deal with.

A little light, featuring Duke, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, and Roadblock. There are a couple of additional unlocks you can get access to buy spending in-game currency that you’ll earn by defeating enemies and playing through the game. I’d have loved to see a larger roster for the good guys though, considering how many different villains make an appearance, but I suppose there’s a desire to hold things back for either DLC or a sequel. While each character has the same basic move set, like a light and heavy attack, jump attack, block and so on, they also have their own unique super attacks that can be unleashed once you fill up the necessary gauge.
