Grow: Song of The Evertree Switch NSP Free Download My wife loves a good list. And I guess secretly I do too, but I’d never tell her, for fear of our weekends being spent drawing up our entire future in bullet point form. But I can’t deny there’s something cathartic about being clear on what you intend to do and then doing it. And Grow: Song of the Evertree does this in spades, knowing it’ll keep you hooked for the long term. But the latest outing from Prideful Sloth attempts to take the seemingly mundane and make it enjoyable. And it mostly succeeds, although does have a couple of missteps along the way. The game begins with you as the last remaining alchemist in Alaria. You’re tasked with helping the titular Evertree with its restoration. ROMSLAB.COM BEST SWITCH GAMES

A powerful force that takes the form of huge purple vines that have enveloped the tree and the world around it. You are joined by an anthropomorphic book and cauldron on this new journey. They give you some Alchemist tools of the trade (which are oddly not chemistry equipment but the usual handyman tools). Then you must begin by planting a World Seed in the branches of the Evertree. Once done, a mini world grows from the seed on the Evertree’s branches. But The Withering is still present and requires cleaning up to truly restore the Evertree. You’ll use your new tools to pull up weeds, plant new seeds and water them, smash rocks or scythe down large plants to clean up the current mess. In that sense, it’s very reminiscent of the upkeep you’d encounter in Animal Crossing: New Horizons or Stardew Valley.
Song of the Evertree
Grow: Song of the Evertree is an open world sandbox game. You are an apprentice alchemist, and you have an important job to do. The Evertree is the source of all life in the land of Alaria. However, the once splendid Tree with many worlds residing in its branches is now nothing more than a faded sapling. The Song of Myora, which caused the energy to flow around the world of Alaria, has been shattered by the Withering. The Withering takes the form of huge purple vines that have encased the Tree and the world around it. Being the only alchemist left in the land, it’s up to you to bring the Evertree and the Song of the Evertree back to their former glory. After starting the game and customising your character, which includes choosing body shape and gender preferences. Golf Club: Wasteland Switch NSP

It’s off to the Evertree to plant your first life seed. You’re not alone in your quest to save the Evertree as a friendly talking Book and Copperpot, an alchemy pot, offer help. With tools in hand, you’ll spend a lot of time in the branches of the Evertree, tending to the Tree and gaining resources. Resources that you’ll put to good use by building villages around the Tree’s base with the help of the Elderkin, a small species who are the keepers of the Evertree. The need to keep things neat and tidy is innate in those of us who enjoy those games, so this feels almost natural. And as you tend to your world it will grow over time, with a larger area to clean up and restore.
Hints of AC and Yonder
The game has hints of Animal Crossing and Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, developer Prideful Sloth’s previous game. You are free to set your course and your own pace in the game. There is plenty to do between tending to the Evertree, fulfilling quests and exploring. With dungeons to plunder for loot with a puzzle to complete at the end. Without any combat in the game, and it’s all very peaceful and calm. It isn’t a game that would suit every gamer, especially if you find doing fetch quests and collecting resources a chore. But for those of us that do like that in gameplay, the game gives us it all. Watching the world grow and come back to life as you tend to the Tree and the areas below is satisfying and fun. But, of course, you can also pet and play with any creatures you encounter, including the beautiful flying beast Kazumi. Who doesn’t like doing that! The branches on the Evertree are like individual biomes; during alchemy, you pick from the resources and items you have collected and extract their essence. The essence is then used to create a world seed with Copper pots help. The essence comes in all sorts of flavours, such as Prickly, Warm, Tranquil and so on. Depending on what essence and how much of each essence you use to create a world seed will create different biomes. From desert biomes, or you could have a snowy frosty biome to one blossoming in spring. I love experimenting with Copper pot and making seeds.
Visuals and Controls
Music and visuals are stunning in the game. Unfortunately, there are a few framerate jiggles, and I have seen a few NPC’s get stuck in the surroundings. But it doesn’t upset your enjoyment of the game while you are playing. Controls are intuitive and feel comfortable to use. For example, you can choose between a dial wheel or the shoulder buttons to pick your tools from your pocket which is a nice touch on the developers part. There is one thing the game is missing, and that is an in-game map. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy exploring, but I don’t particularly enjoy getting lost. Unfortunately, being lost happens without a map. Maybe in a future update, it could be added in by the developers. GONNER 2 Switch NSP

There are also some additional flourishes to the game which I found enjoyable. There are some dungeons to explore, that whilst not having combat, do have basic platforming and puzzle-solving. They’re not really challenging, but this does make them accessible to all, and they’re well designed for what it is. The dungeons were a nice change of pace, requiring focus and attention from what can become sometimes passive maintenance work elsewhere. There are also hidden extras, like secret locations or Alchemist recipes for certain Perfect Worlds that can be found throughout the map for those willing to go off the beaten path.
