Idol Manager Switch NSP Free Download Romslab Idol Manager is our second management simulator video gamer review within a week, and that isn’t too surprising. The genre is all over the Switch, which might be the most appropriate console for it outside of PC and mobile. Even if this is a crowded genre, new entries are always welcome when thought and care are put into them. Idol Manager absolutely falls short in a few areas, but does just enough to stand out, making it worth diving into for fans of management games (Or idol groups). There is no shortage of negative press in the idol industry. ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

Whether it is K-Pop or J-Pop, there are tons of stories out there about exploitation and the dark side of fandom. Idol Manager leans in on the shadier side of the industry, allowing for players to take charge of their own Idol group in a dark comedy. For a management simulator, Idol Manager is pretty heavy on the narrative. Players inherit an idol agency and will take a small group of nobodies in an attempt to become the top dog in the country. A benefactor gives the player a loan, and players will take that loan and hire staff, train them, and try to avoid going into debt in the process. And boy, players will go into quite a bit of debt.
Grow your fanbase by varying your tactics and appealing to a wide variety of demographics.
Idol Manager is surprisingly brutal. The bright colors and pretty idols are absolutely misleading. Players should expect to fail a few times as they learn the best way to manage their group. Investing in just the right idols, facilities, and promotional materials is a fine tightrope. This game is hard. I’m a simple gal – I see cute waifus or husbandos, and I’m sold, which is exactly what pulled me into Idol Manager. But, boy oh boy, a cute little dating sim with a predictable anime plot this is not. This surprisingly complex, dark management sim slash visual novel had me smacking my face into the desk, nearly made me throw my Switch at a wall. Super Robot Wars X Switch NSP

Left me lying awake at night, restlessly thinking about how I’m going to pay off my debts and stop my idols from doing the most ridiculous stuff, as that 30-second music loop played in my head over and over and over – and that’s what makes it so great. Idol Manager has been out on other platforms for some time now, but I’d somehow managed to completely miss it. That is, until the Switch release, where it dropped into my lap like the scandalous little popstar it is. I’m both happy and infuriated about the amount of hours I’ve put into it so far, which, I believe, is exactly what the game wants. It’s sentient. It knows your thoughts. It knows your fears. It’s ready to prey on them.
Manage relationships between the different idols in your group, as you deal with cliques, internal feuds, and bullying.
You take to the helm of your new business as a fresh-faced producer (well, freshly faceless? You have a mouth and hair, that’s about it). You’re told that your sugar daddy producer, Fujimoto, doesn’t really care if you turn a profit, he basically just wants you to try not to go bankrupt as you fill the building with a somewhat legitimate business. Because, you know, all signs point to the fact that this building you’re now inhabiting used to be a brothel – no parallel with your new idol agency, of course. All these parameters help the idols of Idol Manager feel more like individuals rather than simple tables of stats. SUPER ROBOT WARS 30 Switch

That being said, after a few rounds of auditions, I felt like I had seen the limits of the game’s character design variety. There’s little variation to the idols’ faces, or even default skin tone. The non-idol staff feel even more interchangeable, getting a single sprite each. Players will build out their Idol Manager agency with a mix of facilities. My beginning unit, Starfleet Command, needed an office for me and another office for my production assistant. We also needed a recording studio to put together my group’s tunes, and a dance studio to keep them practiced and work on choreography. I later splurged on a break room to keep them rested and a dressing room to help them doll up between gigs.
Decide how to deal with crises including gossip, vandalism, stalkers, or threats directed at your agency and the pop idols you manage.
All of those rooms need staff to operate them! Which, of course cuts into the budget. If you’re familiar with the idol industry, you’re aware that it’s not as squeaky clean as the image it likes to portray. But, if you somehow stumbled across this game without knowing anything about it, don’t worry – Idol Manager is about to teach you, and it won’t pull any punches. Exploitation, abuse, scandal, and cutthroat practices are rife, and this game critiques, parodies, and pushes you to use these in order to get by, while also suggesting that conforming to industry standards isn’t always the best option – especially not morally.

Throughout the story mode players will encounter quite a few events that affect their business as well as the personal lives of their idols. Some are lighthearted while others can be worrisome. This industry isn’t pretty and neither is the game. Still, most of the random scenarios are fun and breathe life into Idol Manager. This is a game full of love and care, and GlithPitch does a solid job at getting players attached to their groups. I eventually found a groove, and took Starfleet Command further up the charts towards stardom. That’s where the magic of Idol Manager started to take hold. Glitch Pitch has done a great job of expressing, through the game’s mechanics. Sherlock Holmes and The Hound of The Baskervilles Switch NSP
