Kiosk Switch NSP Free Download Romslab Getting the odd jump scare, you’re cooking up recipes from an ever-expanding culinary repertoire. The recipes are relatively straightforward, but you’ll need to either restock items from the shelves or wander into the storeroom every time you’re out. It’s a cut-down Cooking Mama… if a PS2-style Mama was watching you from the bushes with a big knife, that is. But what makes this spooky cooking sim such a gem is that it’s as chaotic as it is unsettling. That’s largely thanks to the intentionally wonky physics. Slice into a lettuce and chunks twang out over the table. Hack open a pack of sausages and there’s a good chance two of them will end up on the floor. You know, for later use. What? It’s my kiosk. If I want to work to the five-second hour rule, that’s my prerogative. ROMSLAB

Cooking is a silly joy and gives you enough to juggle without getting frustrating. Despite the lack of a timer, I got a serious kick out of trying to optimize my workflow. I’d dash to the coffee machine the moment I’d thrown a sausage on, speeding back before the former charred. Surprisingly, though, while the game lets you use the floor as storage space for raw meat, you have maybe five minutes before cooked meat goes off. Drowning it in mustard doesn’t help, either: the customers still turn their nose up. You’d think they’d never had a reeking green hot-dog before. Between the narrative of customers telling you some disturbing things, which I won’t spoil, you’ll be preparing and serving what they want to eat. All the cold stuff is in the fridge, and extra stock is in the stock room.
Carefully listen to the clues that customers give you and find out what happened to the guy that worked here before you
Packets with precision, and everything is a little chaotic. Customers waiting at the window don’t seem to mind if you drop the odd sausage on the floor and still rustle it up for them. Orders are pinned up on a board, and everything starts pretty simply at first. Soon after, though, you’ll be asked for a couple of burgers and hot dogs at a time with different ingredients. Do they want cheese and lettuce or both or none whatsoever? Ketchup or mustard. Whilst the controls can be a little fiddly, it doesn’t take long to get some momentum or rhythm going. After the main campaign, you can play an endless or relaxed mode, which will keep you going if you enjoyed the main story. I won’t spoil much for you, but just be wary that occurrences happen during the campaign that will act as jump scares. Blacksad: Under the Skin Switch NSP

Vivi’s recently released indie horror game Kiosk brings together an eerie atmosphere and a cooking simulator, making it an unexpected creepy-cozy game. In it, the player assumes the role of a newly hired cook at a small kiosk that serves late night grub to a wide range of bizarre clientele. As the player interacts with more and more customers, it becomes clear that this job is not all it is cracked up to be: the last cook was murdered – his body found in the nearby park. The protagonist does not seem all that concerned by this information and continues serving up orders night after night. A job is a job, after all – especially in this economy! Suspense builds slowly in this game, making the player wonder when something scary will occur.
Also they would ask you for a drink so you will give them soda and beer. Sometimes you’ll have to make them a hot coffee on a coffee machine.
Some of its features seem reminiscent of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, specifically its use of a “phone guy” – that is, a man who speaks to the protagonist on the phone to provide exposition and introduce new gameplay mechanics – and its inclusion of a celebratory clock that tells the player that they have survived yet another night. These features invite the player to think of FNaF and the way in which it builds terror and suspense. However, Kiosk moves at a more leisurely pace; few truly frightening things happen in the initial days of the game. Sure, there is the occasional jumpscare, and the customers provide more and more detail about your predecessor – but there are not many major frights. Some players may find this scarcity of scares disappointing. Blackwind Switch NSP

Personally, I found it all the more unnerving as each night passed. The game’s use of tropes from FNaF and subversion of its scare progression works effectively, allowing it to provide an unexpected sense of suspense. The scariest part of Kiosk, though, is not its threat of murder or its jumpscares – it is the complete disregard for food safety that would send a health inspector running. Kiosk is a horror game, but it is at its heart a cooking simulator. At first, customers can order hot dogs or burgers with all the fixings or a salad. As the game progresses, a wider range of items are added to the menu by the kiosk’s owner. By the game’s end, customers can order sausage and eggs, pancakes, French fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets, and coffee.
Fight hordes of nightmarish creatures and powerful bosses, find secrets, help the inhabitants in need, and prevent the impending catastrophe.
The player must prepare each item according to the recipe book available on the counter. Food can burn if left on the stove or in the fryer too long, or it can rot if prepared food is left on the counter. However, the game takes no issue with the player throwing food across the kiosk or leaving it on the floor for extended periods of time. In fact, the cooking process can be optimized by throwing ingredients from the freezer to the stove. Why should I walk the ten feet when I have the arm of a major league baseball star? In the dim, rain-soaked neon glow of a lonely kiosk, Kiosk attempts a delicate balancing act between the mundanity of fast-food service and the creeping dread of psychological horror – and, on the PlayStation 5 version published by Feardemic and developed by Vivi.

That tension carries through more often than not. From the moment you step behind the counter, the game’s simple everyday routine begins to twist, and what should be comforting repetition becomes subtly unsettling. The premise is clever in its contrast: you’re a late-night kiosk worker – chopping veggies, grilling sausages, pouring drinks or coffee, fulfilling mundane orders – yet this everyday simulation is haunted by a mystery: your predecessor vanished under unclear circumstances. As customers come and go, providing clues or unnerving stories, the game builds its sense of unease. This foundation of normality slowly warps, and that slow burn of tension, rather than a barrage of constant scares, becomes the game’s greatest strength. BLACK BIRD Switch NSP
