Tactically tense tennis with the soul of a fighting game
There’s a lot to love about a good game of tennis, and thankfully Mario Tennis Aces understands that at its core. Its matches are fast-paced bouts with the ball, with a series of slices, lobs and low shots giving you control over the flow of a game with a fierce opponent. But while Mario Tennis Aces is a good tennis game, it excels at being so much more too. With a series of intriguing and confusing mechanics to inject into regular tennis fare, Mario Tennis Aces squeezes into a new type of genre entirely in a package that is full of content for variations of play. Mario Tennis Aces gives you a lot of control when you want to return that perfect shot. Three face buttons let you either return using topspin, a slice or a hard and fast low return, each of which has their uses in specific situations. A fourth option allows you to return using a classic, embarrassment inducing drop shot or over the head lob, making your situational awareness key to succeeding. Every one of Aces’ characters specialises in some way to help bolster each of these core principles. Chain Chomp can deliver powerful returns but is slower to move around, while smaller characters like Yoshi or Toad are the exact opposite.
BACK TO THE COURTS
After a couple of slips of the series, Nintendo and Camelot bring us what we can consider the triumphant return of the most famous plumber in the world to the white sport. In my opinion, we didn’t have a Mario Tennis this fun and well accomplished since the ever-loved and addictive Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64 – Gamecube’s Mario Power Tennis was very good too. For this reason, we believe that we were already owed a game that was worthy of the tradition that the franchise carries. With everything and that we see a clear respect for the formula, there are also several radical changes that make it even more exciting and entertaining in every way. Darksiders Genesis Switch

Mixing the rules of a real sport with the mechanics of a completely fanciful video game is something complicated, but of course, studies like Camelot and company have shown us that it can be done with extremely satisfactory results. Mario Tennis Aces is proof of the above, because on the one hand they emulate in a great way the way tennis works in real life and on the other, they add all kinds of crazy mechanics that give an extremely interesting depth to its gameplay, and that at all times seek to deliver an experience that is fun for anyone who gets their hands on it, as well as very competitive for those who seek to measure their true level. A TOP-SPIN IN CONTROL
As a video game, Mario Tennis Aces feels flawless. Its controls are responsive and I consider that the learning curve to know how to execute all the shots that we have at our disposal is short and above all, extremely intuitive. When you have to pay a little more attention is when the game teaches us the new mechanics that this delivery brings. At first it seems as if several of the powers could become too unbalanced and powerful, resulting in a simple game in which anyone can win -Mario Tennis Ultra Smash, there they talk to you-, but his tutorial almost instantly, It teaches that each movement has its own counter and that making a mistake with everything and powers is quite possible.

When you get to play against another person who already understands the mechanics or one of the computers in medium or advanced mode, the game requires you to put everything you have learned to the test, even for veterans of the series. Things like slowing down time, making the save, which by the way, does require skill and good timing, in addition to the variety of different offensive and defensive shots that you can do with the racket, open up a great possibility of very exciting and closed points. It is important to mention that even the Supers of each character have a way of being reversed by whoever receives them. It’s all about skill. Dead Cells Switch NSP
