Moorhuhn Pirates – Crazy Chicken Pirates Switch NSP Free Download Romslab Recently two games were released via Nintendo’s handheld online services, Crazy Chicken Pirates and Crazy Chicken Pirates 3D, and, as you’ve probably guessed, they’re very similar to one another. By “very similar”, we actually mean that — with the exception of the additional 3D effect and higher resolution of the 3DS version — they’re exactly the same game. The 3D version is only available in the 3DS eShop; this vanilla release can only be found in the DSiWare shop on DSi. Crazy Chicken Pirates is an arcade-style gallery shooting game. At the start of each new game, you’re given 90 seconds to shoot and score as many points as you possibly can. ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

While the area that you’re shooting in never changes, the chickens that you’re trying to blast come and go as they please. Aside from chickens, you can also shoot gems and coins, which give you a time bonus, and Jolly Rogers that, when all on the map have been shot, allow you to fire one shot from a large cannon. The more objects you shoot, the higher your score will be, and scoring over 1000 points opens up an additional mini-game for you to play which also involves shooting. That’s really the entire game. You can’t unlock anything else new, and the coins, gems, and Jolly Rogers are all in the same exact spots each time you play, so the only way to get any better at Crazy Chicken Pirates is to get faster.
The lords of the island are by no means willing to surrender themselves and their treasure without a fight …
Aiming for a higher score is the only thing to do after you’ve played once, so this is definitely not the type of game for those players who don’t care about being at the top of the local leaderboard. The single level has a total of eleven skulls, fourteen coins, and fifteen gems. If the player can find and shoot the total of any of the three different items, they gain additional time. Once the timer runs out, their score is then entered onto the leaderboard. From here the only gameplay that remains for the player is repeating the level over and over again attempting to beat their previous high score. Rabbids: Party of Legends Switch

The game does require the player to use some tactics to optimize their score, as each shootable object has a set amount of points that it gives. Reloading also reduces the player’s score each time, encouraging them to aim carefully before shooting. A game that costs only €2 cannot be expected to give the player a ton of different levels and gameplay features, but a single constant level is indeed biting the biscuit. There are a lot of free games out there in this style which have more gameplay and replayability than Crazy Chicken Pirates 3D has. One example would be the flash game series Armor Trigger which gives players various different levels and tasks.
They will defend their hideout with cannons and cutlasses and finally plunge bravely into the waves in their rowing boats for a desperate counterattack …
Crazy Chicken Pirates 3D is essentially a light-gun shooter. The problem is that it takes place over a single, panning landscape, which never changes. You have 90 seconds to score as many points as you can by moving around this landscape, shooting bottles, gold coins, Jolly Rogers, shark fins, and yes, crazy chicken pirates. The chicken pirates look like some something out of Aardman Animations (Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run, Pirates), but without the charm or personality. Mainly, these chickens just fly or run past your crosshairs. Shooting them, and virtually everything else onscreen, gives you points. Radiant Silvergun Switch NSP

You reload by tapping a “reload” icon on the bottom screen, which actually penalizes your score. The idea here, I assume, is to avoid letting players go hog wild and shoot everything all the time. Strategery! Doing certain things, like shooting all the gold coins or all the Jolly Rogers, gets you bonus points or more time. Shooting other things a certain way, which really just wastes precious seconds, nets you MORE points… theoretically. There’s one event that might take points AWAY. Crazy Chicken Pirates’ in-game manual explains all the different events and how to score Big Points. Reading the manual is actually more fun than playing the game.
Be quick – you have only 90 seconds to enter the supposedly peaceful idyll and finish your raid. If it weren’t for the pirates …
Your high scores are saved, but there aren’t leaderboards or anything. There’s a crappy bonus stage you can unlock if you manage to get an amazingly high score in a mere 90 seconds. That’s the one unlockable, except it’s not accessible at any time—only when you achieve that pie-in-the-sky score. Once your time is up, that’s it, folks! Try again. Try the exact same landscape, with the exact same layout, again. Endlessly! It’s so much fun! Except that it’s not. The game looks OK, but how could it not? It’s a static image with some random chickens animated here and there. The music is serviceable but ultimately forgettable.

Crazy Chicken Pirates is played using the DSi’s touch screen and shoulder buttons. While all of the action appears on the top screen, moving your stylus along the DSi’s touch screen causes the crosshair on the top screen to move so that you can aim at your targets. Pressing the left or right shoulder buttons shoots, and reloading is as simple as tapping the Reload button on the bottom screen. The controls are satisfyingly tight, so you should have no problem learning to aim and shoot like a pro. It’s a bad game—that’s the bottom line—and you shouldn’t spend a dime on it.
