Music Drive: Chase the Beat Switch NSP Free Download Romslab In this music-inspired game, you play as two characters, Tina and Tunner (get it?). Tina is the driver and Tunner is the gunman. With music being such an important commodity in the game, combining the skills of both characters to hunt down stolen music and deliver it for a ton of money. Did you ever play the arcade classic, Chase H.Q.? Or maybe a more apt comparison would be its sequel, Special Criminal Investigation, because that’s basically how Music Drive: Chase the Beat plays. The game put me in mind of titles like Virtua Cop with low polygon, pixelated graphics and stilted animations. ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

I don’t mean that in a bad way either, I loved it. Very much that mid-’90s, early 3D polygon age. Now, you can turn the pixelization off in the game and this does give the graphics a more polished, but still old-school look. The other thing that hit me was the music. With music being a driving (no pun) force of the game’s story, the tunes here are from Brazilian musician NP Vocal, and they’re pretty damn great but I guess its scope is just too small for such a premise. Sure, it has the retro looks and a pretty good Brazilian hip hop soundtrack, but when it comes to the latter.
their unique talents in high-octane missions, combining action and rhythm in a race against time to save the art that moves the world: music.
A street and complete either of these objectives: deliver tapes to your homies, or destroy enemies who have stolen other tapes from you. You drive a car down a road, either evading or ramming through any other car you might find. You either ram through enemy cars, or wait for the person in the passenger seat to shoot them until the objective is complete. In the case of delivering items, the only difference is that you also have to pass through some pretty obvious checkpoints. You will still need to fend off against foes, collect extra cash, and try to survive, no matter the objective. And you’ll have to redo these missions over and over again. You don’t earn enough money in each mission to directly move to the next one. You basically need to afford bigger and better cars, which feature more room to store tapes, which act like a minimum entry fee for you to enter a level. Don’t ask me the logic behind it, I’d have just stocked the tapes inside my glove compartment. Regardless, that basically sums the gameplay loop up. Keeping play (and replaying) these small levels until you can get a new car. Get a new car and access new levels. Occasionally spend some money as bribery to decrease your wanted level. Rinse and repeat.
Music is the most valuable asset in the world, and hard drives filled with unreleased tracks have been stolen by a gang that wants to monopolize the charts.
You’ll have basically seen everything this game has to offer in less than an hour. A blast from the past using visuals similar to that seen on a PlayStation One with a toggle for pixelated graphics, you effectively drive in a straight line for a couple of minutes at a time with auto-aimed shots that shred other vehicles. Tina is the driver, and Tunner will lean out the window when within proximity of an enemy and shoot away throwback to early 00s gaming in its simplicity and controls. There are no nitros, handbrakes, or gears; just a first- and third-person viewpoint. Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Switch NSP

If anything, you need some patience to grind a stage as there’s not much in the way of challenge. The initial damage caused by gunplay isn’t too bad, but crashing into NPCs that randomly do a U-turn without cause is the worst. That’s not to say that these gangbangers aren’t a threat, as each time you complete a run, the threat increases to a maximum of five stars. This means that enemies are hardier, do more damage, and are quite plentiful. A swift bribe clears this rating, and it’s somewhat a spoiler as it makes even the last stage incredibly easy without much in the way of resistance.
You play as Tina & Tunner — she’s the best getaway driver in the hood, he’s a sharpshooter with perfect aim.
After completing a heist in the Pursuit mode, you can then repeat a stage and deliver the tapes you’ve earned. The overall gameplay was unclear, as you earn points, then carry multiple tapes and tackle the later levels for a higher multiplier. It’s similar to Pursuit, but instead of eliminating specific vehicles, you drive in a straight line, and the tapes are automatically offloaded. You keep driving straight and either avoid or take out hostiles, then spend the cash on new vehicles and weaponry is perfectly adequate for the majority of the game, and with some investment, you can improve two stats: speed and resistance.

However, a sportier car, SUV, camper van and truck are all at your disposal, with the latter rendering Tunner’s gun skills redundant as you can ram most of the enemies with minimal damage incurred. As for the guns, these can also be upgraded, offering a choice of a pistol, automatic rifle, and shotgun. Guess which one is best when maxed out? With monotonous tracks and minimal driving skill required, zero abilities required for the gun elements other than getting close, and some truly terrible NPC U-turns in the middle of the road mid-run, Music Drive: Chase the Beat sounds a little lame, and finished in a few hours.
