MX vs ATV Legends PS5 Free Download Romslab looks impressive at times, it is riddled with graphical issues that ruined any semblance of immersion. Its open world looks barren and completely uninspired, a far cry from the excellent playground featured in All Out. Whenever you explore this map, you are also greeted with a ton of textural pop-in, a rare sight in a system powered by SSD technology. Finally, in one of the most baffling graphical glitches I’ve seen in recent memory, every single racer that shows up onscreen has their animations locked to around 10 frames per second, as if you were playing against other racers online with a really poor connection. A decent soundtrack, comprised of alternative and modern nu metal, but its mixing is all over the place. There are instances in which I’m racing and the music simply stops for a second or so, only to come back at a much louder volume than before. In other moments, my bike’s engine would stop echoing any semblance of sound. This is a weird case of a game featuring a decent soundtrack in which I’d recommend playing on mute, if you ever decide to tackle it, that is. Elsewhere, there’s not a lot to talk about the content featured in MX vs ATV Legends. Pros and cons pretty much cancel each other. Circuit races are really fun, but are bogged down by the aforementioned bland open world. Driving ATVs and buggies is great, but you need to tackle a slow and repetitive career mode in order to unlock them and use them in an official race.

Regardless of the control method, you’ll have the opportunity to push your chosen vehicle to its limits as you conquer the racing world.

There’s a great sense of risk and reward depending on how you decide to attack a jump, and if the landing doesn’t connect and you go flying off your vehicle, it’s more down to how you handle in the air. Some tracks are filled with jumps and straights, others are filled with tighter corners. Regardless of the circuit, there’s often a lot of variety, but I found that some are more punishing than others. Sometimes, it isn’t even down to how you control the vehicle, as the AI is either punishing and unrealistic, or slow and unintelligent. It doesn’t even matter on whether you’re racing on two wheels or four, the AI doesn’t feel balanced. Handling of all three vehicles feels good for the most part. Light and heavy, whereas the UTVs are beasts and take patience to control. You’ll need to master all three classes as the Career takes you through plenty of weeks where all three will be available to choose. I seldom enjoyed the UTVs as they felt incredibly clunky and trickier to manage, whereas the other two gave me enough room to improve and feel my progress present itself as I moved through the weeks. With most racers, you aren’t punished by your failings as there’s a rewind feature that allows you to skip back a few seconds. Unfortunately, MX vs ATV Legends gives you a reset that doesn’t flow with the races. It almost drops you back randomly without a smooth transition. Granted, making mistakes can be seldom made thanks to the tight handling of the dirt bikes and ATVs, however, even with those rough landings or overshoots of a corner.

Test your driving skills in mini-games, such as hill climbs, gap events, and gravity-defying jumps from a ski jump.

The more successful you are, the more upgrades for your vehicles become available, and later down the line new vehicles will open up. It feels bare bones compared to other racers as there’s a lack of detail in the different parts and vehicles, leaving the player to only assume new ones are better than the last. It’s also more of a collection of events with no story to tether everything together, making the only motivation you have to simply get the highest position in each event. This might be more than enough for most players, but I personally like careers in any racer have something more than are a rookie rider, a diamond in the rough, if you will. Yet, a farmer sees promise in you and hopes that your skills will bring riders and money to his failing business. Consequently, you form a strong bond and your fledgling career takes off. With the help of your friends, you form a race-winning team. You unlock new bikes, purchase new gear, and move up the ranks. Alongside this, you are free to ride bikes, ATVs, or UTVs across a variety of terrains. Each event you enter tests your skills and racing abilities. Accordingly, the better you do, the more fans you’ll earn and the bigger your sponsorship deals and prizes become. Legends so good is its progress tree. Every decision you make, and how well you race, impacts your career. Subsequently, you’ll experience different events and are likely to receive alternative rewards. Your ultimate goal is to be successful and become a world-famous professional rider. However, all work and no play make you a very dull boy. Therefore, you can enjoy exploring the open environment, or competing in invitational events.

The action on the track can be controlled either with the Wii Remote alone or with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

Alongside this, there are also online races and exhibition events to win. Alternatively, you can challenge a friend to some split-screen action. This is an old-school approach that wonderfully enhances the competitive nature of the gameplay. Disappointingly, though, I had issues with the online servers. Either MX Vs ATV Legends has no following, or the servers are broken. Either way, the potential of online racing and its inevitable shenanigans never happened. Consequently, this was a massive letdown. After all, half the fun of this genre is when you compete with and beat the best global players. Sports games are so real-to-life that it is eerie. Thankfully, MX Vs ATV Legends doesn’t disappoint as it has a wonderfully polished finish. I admired its slick action, detailed bikes, and wonderful settings. Visually, it is a trouble-free experience with no frame rate drops or bugs to report

Furthermore, its open-world segments feel vast and inviting, and this juxtaposes the claustrophobic and technical race courses. If you’ve ever heard a swarm of wasps, you’ll know how every vehicle in this game sounds. A perpetual buzzing noise drowns out every sense. Consequently, each race is a cacophony of sounds that’ll make your head hurt. Now, this isn’t a complaint, as there is some nice variation amongst the vehicles. As you purchase or win a new machine, there are distinct differences that petrolheads will adore. Alongside this, there are some bone-crunching falls and disturbing crashes to enjoy. In short, it is loud, in your face, and the perfect example of modern racing. There are two types of races in MX vs ATV Legends: track racing and trails.
