Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee Switch NSP Free Download The eagerly-awaited second game in the Oddworld Quintology, Xbox launch title Munch’s Oddysee had a lot riding on it. Poached by Microsoft to bolster their hard-sold new console, much was expected of this long-awaited adventure; previous acclaimed title Abe’s Exoddus promised Munch coming up next, with Squeek’s Oddysee to follow – not to mention an indeterminate number of promised “bonus games”, of which Exoddus was the first. Of course, hindsight shows that in a business as malleable as video games, you probably shouldn’t make such big promises, and of course, the Oddworld series went off the intended path with games like Stranger’s Wrath and a bevvy of cancelled instalments such as Hand of Odd, Sligstorm and The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot. Oddworld was something of a sadly forgotten commodity until, in 2010, The Oddboxx brought the entire franchise to Steam.
Switching It Up
The game is easy to learn – mainly you have to understand the individual strengths of Abe and Munch and how to utilize both of our heroes to explore. For instance, in cases where water is present and Fuzzles are involved, that is when you want to use Munch. In other situations that involve other Mudokons and chanting, you would want to use Abe. You have to think about what you want to do and smartly switch between the two. Piczle Cross Adventure Switch NSP

If you need to explore enemy territory, do not worry too much about dying – the game is very forgiving in this regard and you will almost automatically respawn at the closest safe spotThe availability of options in Munch’s Oddysee to improve your own experience is definitely worth mentioning. From being able to fine-tune the brightness of your screen to changing the walking speed of Abe and Munch, the game supports its players by allowing us to adjust everything to our own comfort levels
Although there are many levels
for the player to complete, there is a lack of variety in the way the puzzles are solved. Once you understand and master Abe and Munch’s abilities, it becomes obvious what to do. In line with that is the predictability of the game – admittedly there are times where I do prefer games with less of a challenge and more of a means to progress further into a story, but sometimes this only adds to the repetitiveness of the task. The only moments of frustration I had were with the controls being a little unresponsive and camera angles messing up with some of my jumps. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trilogy Switch NSP

As an easy-to-pickup game, Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee is an enjoyable choice for those who aren’t looking for too much of a challenge but would like to utilize their brain and platforming skills for something fun and simple. With an interesting plot and two funky protagonists, Munch’s Oddysee provides a smartly made game with forgiving deaths and options, giving players the freedom to explore with minimal consequences. Although the puzzles could be spiced up a little,
Play control is shaky and doesn’t feel brilliantly thought-out
you use the B button for an enormous number of context-sensitive actions, and you’ll find yourself frequently doing the wrong thing. Your positioning is so finicky sometimes you’ll need to physically move objects away from other objects, lest the game has no idea what on earth you’re trying to do.Generally, there are too many commands applied to too few buttons, which raises the question of why the Gamespeak system doesn’t use a modifier like in the Abe games – such as holding L1 or L2 then pushing a button to select the phrase. In Munch’s Oddysee, everything’s applied to the face buttons. Persona 5: Strikers Switch NSP

The Switch has more inputs than an original Xbox controller, so why not make use of them? For the sake of accuracy? This isn’t some vintage arcade title, it’s a disappointing follow-up to a beloved PlayStation blockbuster. Nobody’s going to get upset if things are changed for the better. The camera has a tendency to act out in small spaces, which – as you’ll recall – comprise most of the areas in the game. It’s just part and parcel with the awkward feel of the whole thing. We suspect that at the time, Oddworld Inhabitants had a case of eyes bigger than their stomach.
