Pillar Switch NSP Free Download Romslab a small scaled low poly puzzle game where each area has a rising pillar out of the ground. Environmental puzzles such as triggering switches, jumping through portals and unlocking codes from visual clues will allow the pillar to rise higher. Each time is rises it then unveils small, short line based puzzles on it to be completed. By line puzzles I mean you’ll have a grid full of matching dot colours and you’ll need to join them u without breaking the lines. This mobile game has been around for ages but placed into a wider grander puzzle game here. The Pillar also switches this up, having the line move around quickly and asks you to repeat it. ROMSLAB

Drawing patterns you’ll have spotted on walls and so on. It is a simple mechanic that is used in lots of different ways. The fun of The Pillar is that puzzles are short and often revealed in groups of 4 so if you have a mental block on one of them, you can come back to it after a doing some others. Nothing ever feels really obtuse either although some of the visual puzzles that require you to see through windows or line up ceilings to reveal numbers may require a bit of fiddling to get all the info you need. Controls work well and the low poly vibe means that graphics are clean and easy to understand. I love puzzle games, although I’m slow at them.
In a small, snow-covered village, a group of people are searching for a mysterious artifact said to grant its owner great wisdom.
It took me about five hours to get through the main campaign but I’d imagine brainier players can zip through in just over three. What I liked about The Pillar was that most puzzles could be solved by narrowing down options and being methodical. It gave me great satisfaction to clear an area and seeing the pillar shining brightly and opening the next door was a rewarding goal to achieve. As it is quite a focused game, each world brings in a new mechanic and adds it to the mix. This can mean that some puzzles feel harder than others whilst being in the same world, making the difficulty a bit of a rollercoaster rather than a line. I didn’t mind that too much as the game is short but priced appropriately. Chickenoidz Super Party Switch NSP

You won’t mind getting stuck as you roam around the mysterious floating island in complete and utter isolation. The beautiful background music not only lulls you to a false sense of security, but it also makes for an incredibly relaxing yet emotionally stirring experience. The overall vibe is complemented perfectly by stunning stylized surroundings – the aesthetics remind me a little bit of The Pathless at times. The pleasing visuals alone make you feel like escaping the escape room experience isn’t really a huge priority. There’s not much dilly-dallying here, as you’re immediately thrust into this cryptic world without much preamble. There are no tutorials, no maps, no complicated menus.
They all have their own distinct personalities and therefore face a variety of challenges – but perhaps, in the end, they aren’t so different after all.
All you really have to do is try to make sense of the world around you while solving puzzles to make it through to the next area – it is a puzzle game, after all. While there is some level of variety to the puzzles you need to solve, the grid patterns do get repetitive after a while. I’m not going to spoil you with the details of the different kinds of puzzles themselves – they’re pretty intuitive, and part of the fun is trying to figure out what to do next. Once you do, the “eureka” moment is priceless. The gameplay experience is easy on iOS too, since controls aren’t too complicated. The colors make for vibrant backgrounds in outdoor scenes. The indoor scenes are still colorful but give a feeling of structure and order. Chicken Assassin: Reloaded Switch NSP

The best art in Pillar belongs to the Distant level, which simulates playing the game behind a clear stainless glass window. Besides the weird character designs, it feels well done. The puzzles, if you can get into them: Sadly, not all puzzles are created equally. The best is the Giving and Capable numbered floor puzzle. Different levels put you in control of (seemingly random) different characters, and in Giving and Capable you play as a guy and girl whom can only be moved one at a time. The goal is to light every light in the puzzle. The catch is that the guy can only create/destroy and the girl is responsible for lighting the lights. This mini-game is intelligently designed and will make you think. Enduring and Renewing is an interesting Pac-man-like maze with a cool twist.
Each minigame will challenge you in a unique way. Through a collection of minigames, you accompany each of them on their quest.
Distant was a decent mini-game with a neat concept in which you paint your own distractions (up to three at a time) of floor traps that play a voice that lures enemies away, allowing you to sneak past them. Sometimes the ability felt overpowered, since you’re able to create it any time you’re not being chased by an enemy. Other times, when the enemy ignores the sound made by a trap, you’ll wish it always worked. Focused is a weird stealth mission with your ability being a shout projectile that draws enemy attention. With baddies having extremely long eyesight and the fact that they don’t stop chasing you until you either reach a new location or get caught, this creates an unpleasant mini-game.

You the option to skip some mini-games through clever movement at the cost of no reward, but I gave in to frustration and boredom and quit out of Focused regardless. Without any preamble, players are deposited in a free-roaming first-person world, one with a very pretty and hyper-colorful stylized presentation. The object of the game is to navigate seven self-contained worlds (eight if you count the short intro level), opening up a portal at the end of each that takes you to the next one. Every level has its own distinct visual theme and a collection of puzzles scattered around it. The worlds aren’t terribly big, and completing their puzzles often opens the way forward in some fashion – opening access boxes, unlocking gates, or causing further puzzles to materialize.
