Planet of Lana II Switch NSP Free Download Romslab Before I began to explore the world of Planet of Lana 2, I had a few niggling concerns about the storyline. I was drawn by the art-style and puzzling elements of this game but had somehow allowed the first instalment in the series to pass me by. Would I be jumping aboard the Lana-train too late to understand the narrative? Would the lack of real-language or subtitles restrict my enjoyment of the game? In short, no. And no. Within a few minutes of the opening scenes, the storyline begins to blossom, and I was hooked to these characters we join Lana and her trusty companion, Mui, sometime after they saved their planet from the invading machines. The lovable pair take you on an emotional journey uncovering secrets about their planet’s past. ROMSLAB

Love whilst also being accessible for a new audience, making it enjoyable for all – a feat that most Hollywood movie scriptwriters would be envious of! The storyline is properly punctuated by the puzzling elements of the game. Rather than focus solely on logic and reasoning, the puzzles require observation, experimentation and cooperation from your player characters. When puzzles are crafted this perfectly, it’s easy to forget how much hard work must have gone into designing them. Here, many small details come together to form a series of well-considered challenges that were clearly designed with the player in mind. For example, the camera view will always pan and zoom to show the player the fullest extent of the locations and resources required to solve the puzzle.
Physics-based puzzles, including mesmerizing spectacular creatures and the control of new hybrid robots to find unique solutions.
When there’s peril – you’re often needing to avoid getting shot with lasers or avoid freakishly fast spider-bots – the autosaves and respawn points are frequent and convenient enough that you feel free to experiment. Gameplay rules are introduced gradually, built upon satisfactorily and stay consistent throughout the game. Those coming from the first game will find that Lana and Mui have grown and learnt some new tricks. Lana is more agile, while Mui can now hijack robots and hypnotise some creatures in the world. After alien beings invade Lana’s homeworld, she teams up with the cat-like creature Mui to rescue her sister from the invaders’ clutches. In doing so, she discovers that the alien machines were once built by the same humans. Open Roads Switch NSP

Who are now stranded on the planet where Lana lives. She manages to find the flaw in the robots’ programming, and the future seems secure as humans and machines work together once more. Lana remains curious and wants to learn more about her tribe’s ancestors. But not everyone shares her innocent curiosity, and it isn’t long before the tribes clash and the rediscovered technology once again becomes a threat. It’s up to Lana and Mui to mediate the brewing conflict and prevent another war from pushing humanity back to the brink of extinction the story is also the main focus. It’s surprising how much emotion the plot manages to convey despite being voiced in a fantasy language. Although we as players don’t understand the words, the content of the dialogues and the message of the story are always clear.
Carefully navigate dangerous situations by using sophisticated stealth mechanics and tactical acumen to outwit your enemies.
The story is told entirely through a made up language, but despite not understanding a word, the emotion and context comes through in every syllable. We can tell when Lana is stressed, or Ilo is upset, or even when Mui is scared or confused. Developer Wishfully state at the beginning of the game that they used a made-up language to let players interpret the story for themselves, and for me it worked brilliantly. Gameplay takes much the same form as the original side scrolling platforming is the main aim of the game, as well as solving various environmental puzzles and sneaking past enemies. Lana feels weighty yet snappy to control, and again the Playdead inspirations are evident in her movement. She just makes jumps, or runs just fast enough to avoid death by sliding under a door, for example. Operation STEEL Switch NSP

There are some new tricks here, like being able to control certain other entities directly, but we’re in familiar territory for the most part. Levels are brilliantly designed to make use of her toolset, with cleverly crafted set-pieces and some good puzzles that might not be the hardest to figure out, but are fun to solve all the same smoothly continues the gameplay of its predecessor, once again employing a two-dimensional puzzle-adventure style reminiscent of “Inside” or “Little Nightmares”—with the crucial difference that the companion mechanics take center stage. Lana and her loyal companion Mui continue to work together as a duo in the second installment, with the puzzles consistently designed around the interaction of both characters.
New agility with wall jumps, dodging maneuvers and faster movements to survive exciting, action-packed sequences.
As you can imagine, the fragile status quo does not last and after a brief tutorial, Lana and her sister are attacked, leaving the younger girl poisoned. Big sister must venture out in search of ingredients to make a cure. With Mui in tow, her journey leads back into the wild, where she encounters an even more evolved technological threat. She also starts to uncover secrets surrounding the robot’s presence on Novo. There is a compelling mystery unravelling across is strong and the story is all the more intriguing thanks to the use of a constructed language, which shifts most of the narrative burden onto the visuals. Interactions between Lana and other NPCs are subtitled, but the majority of the game is made up of a genuinely sweet, wordless companionship.

The beautiful hand-painted style of the environments creates an atmospheric and often terrifying world. There is a strong contrast between biomes, and the fusion of wild nature and cold metal is striking. All of this builds a rich, cohesive sense of place. This mood is elevated further by an intoxicating, brass-driven score that recalls the melancholy suites of Disco Elysium where there is advancement, there is danger. Sadly, Lana and her companion Mui are taken on a roller-coaster journey of emotions as they brave new enemies, help Lana’s niece, and try to assist the locals in any way they can. I don’t want to spoil the story as it is brilliant in every aspect. The pace, the unusual storytelling, and the setting are all breathtaking. Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission Switch NSP
