Animations that appear clumsy to cute are added. Some camera pans – especially when approaching the post – cannot hide rare mini-stutters. But you shouldn’t expect too much story behind the secret of Pokémon transformation, everything is clearly dominated by the daily dungeon visits. That doesn’t mean that there’s been no evolution at all – quite the opposite. Compared to the original Rescue Team’s low-res, rudimentary roguelike structure, Rescue Team DX is a vast improvement.
A connection orb system that allows players to recruit and befriend other Pokémon, expanding their rescue team and forming alliances.
Pokémon-filled oil painting, which is without a doubt the most notable upgrade. Even on the big screen in the Switch’s docked mode, roaming around Pokémon Square and going dungeon delving rarely looks like something meant for a portable device. Other quality-of-life changes, like autosaving, auto-mode for exploration, expanding your maximum team size from four to eight, and incorporating mega evolutions and shinies make the journey through the often-dull business of dungeon exploration much more interesting this time. The problem is this facelift does little to address Rescue Team DX’s biggest issue: the things you spend most of your time doing just aren’t that fun. Despite being procedurally generated, each dungeon is basically a carbon copy of the last, with tight hallways connecting to boxy rooms and enemies stalking each area. After the first hour, you’ll have experienced more or less all that these tedious treks have to offer but will still be subjected to dozens of hours more, practically uninterrupted.
A variety of rescue missions where players can save Pokémon in distress, adding a sense of purpose and heroism to the gameplay.
Together with a selectable AI buddy (we choose Charmander), we fight rows and rows of enemy Pokémon in multi-level forests, caves and ravines and collect useful items such as healing berries and revitalizing seeds. Leveling and looting, we work our way from dungeon level to dungeon level until we eventually locate the Pokémon in need and thus complete our mission. This is how the combat system works The gameplay structure of Mystery Dungeon DX is fundamentally different from Game Freak’s Pokémon RPGs. Bubble Bobble 4 Friends Switch NSP

The fights still retain the classic rock-paper-scissors principle. Fire beats plant, plant beats water, water beats fire. We’re not telling experienced Pokémon trainers anything new. Let’s move on to the combat system. If you meet another Pokémon, you can attack it. As in the main series, you have access to a maximum of four different attacks. While you have the option to choose which one you want to use, you can also let the system decide for itself.
Players can choose to play as one of the 16 Pokémon species, each with its unique abilities, moves, and personality.
The position in which you fight against other Pokémon is also relevant. Some attacks can be carried out from a distance. Since the whole thing doesn’t take place on a separate screen, battles can become confusing if you’re with a lot of Pokémon that can potentially get in your way. But back to the attacks: Each attack is limited to the number of its AP (attack points). Once these are used up, you can no longer use the attack. However, there are items that you can use to replenish the AP.

Unlike the main series, attacks become stronger if you use them regularly. Even other Pokémon learn from the knowledge of other pocket monsters if they can master the same attack. This adds a new tactical component as you level up. If you defeat enough opponents and collect enough experience points, not only do values such as attack, defense or power points increase, you also occasionally learn new attacks. Some of you smart people have probably already noticed. Your rescue team consists of two Pokémon. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Switch NSP
