Beat ‘Em Up Collection (QUByte Classics) Switch NSP Free Download Romslab is in a beat ’em up collection because, it’s not really a beat ’em up. It’s more of an action-platformer. Yes, there’s some hack ‘n slashing action, but First Samurai plays more like Strider than something Final Fight. Regardless, I played a hell of a lot of this game on the Amiga back in the day, it’s brilliant. This isn’t the original Amiga version, I believe it is the SNES port. Still a solid game today though and it plays very well and all. However, the SNES version always was inferior to the original. Let’s be honest: these games weren’t great when they were new, and time has not been kind. ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

A stiff-legged re-enactment at a medieval-themed pub. Gourmet Warriors thinks it’s funny but is only confusing, like a fever dream about cooking during a nuclear war. The combat across most of the collection is floaty, inconsistent, and about as impactful as slapping a wet sponge against a brick wall. Enemy variety is low, hitboxes are comically vague, and collision detection might as well be optional. A brawler released by Seika in 1994, this is a decent attempt at a Golden Axe style of game. You control a warrior with a big weapon, and beat up enemies in typical belt scroller fashion, by slashing, jumping, and grabbing foes in your way.
Face off against dark knights, dragons, and otherworldly magic in this gritty brawler.
Collecting magic vials and saving them will allow you to perform a magic screen clear attack, and you can even use the shoulder buttons to block enemy attacks. Unfortunately, this game’s biggest problem comes from how slow the windup frames can be, and when the input lag is just as annoying as always, (very evident when you move around or try a jump attack) this game was immensely frustrating, especially since enemies can swarm and hit you faster than you can hit them. In local co-op I assume it would be a lot more manageable, but I have no means of testing that at this point in time. Animated Jigsaws: Beautiful Japanese Scenery Switch NSP

Trying several times to clear the first stage, even with save states, Legend was a lot more annoying than I’d like to admit, and eventually the clunky input lag and wrapper woes left a lot to be desired here, and for my journey to come to a swift end. I honestly preferred Water Margin over this despite that game being a lot more simple in terms of variety. One odd thing to note here, is that loading this game or resetting it will just skip straight to the title screen, bypassing the game intro and company logos entirely. This is very peculiar, especially since waiting for a while and letting demos play will show you the intro anyhow.
Battle against mutants and demonic robots in the streets of Zeus Heaven Magic City.
So I dunno why they didn’t just make the starting point said story crawl to begin with. Piko also has made a ROM of this game before that cuts out the Seika logo just fine, so I also don’t know why that wasn’t just used instead of this weird pseudo save state bypass method. You can choose between one of two characters here, and it’s up to you or a buddy to take out waves of enemies in this Capcom-style brawler. If you played anything akin to Final Fight, you’ll feel right at home here, and the enemies drop a lot of goodies, from helpful food items to lots of weapons and ammo. Honestly, while this brawler is still frustrating at points and the input lag plagues this game too, I had a lot more fun here, as the weapons added some much needed variety to make the game not as monotonous, and both characters were enjoyable to play as. The first game on the list is Legend, originally released in 1994 by Arcade Zone and unleashed on the Super Nintendo. There is a bit of an attempt at a narrative here as we set off on a quest to defeat Clovis, via the medium of clobbering anything that gets in our way. Think Golden Axe and you won’t be too far wide of the mark.
Travel across time, overcome brutal enemies, and solve environmental puzzles in a fast-paced martial arts adventure.
We can play as one of two protagonists, either Igor or Kaor, and while the game will not win any awards for best storytelling, at least an effort was made. Plot – in the kingdom of Sellech during the middle ages, the son of the king, Clovis, seeks to harness the dark power from the imprisoned soul of Beldor and conquer the world. To prevent this plan from coming to fruition, the knight warriors Kaor and Igor set out on a quest to defeat Clovis. The two warriors battle their way through the kingdom, taking down all that stand in their way to save the land from evil. Legend is a rather standard brawler, heavily inspired by titles from Capcom and SEGA.

Most notably the games Knights of the Round and Golden Axe. The player takes control of one of the two knights, armed with a sword, shield and special attacks to battle their way through each of the seven stages. The stages feature mid and end bosses, with story scenes between stages, then the next stage will continue. All of the enemies will drop loot when defeated, which include health pick-ups, bonus points and magic which adds to their total stock. The combat is a little slow and clunky, with enemies able to interrupt attacks easily as the player characters have a shorter range. Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch NSP
