Neighbours back From Hell brings back one of the most delightfully petty rivalries in gaming. You step into the shoes of Woody, a man so consumed by his grudge against his neighbor Mr. Rottweiler that he repeatedly breaks into the man's home to rig it with booby traps. This remaster collection bundles two classic prank-puzzle games into a single package, and the pseudo-claymation art style still holds up surprisingly well after all these years. If you enjoy slapstick comedy wrapped around a stealth-puzzle loop, this is a title you'll want to add to your Switch library.

What Is Neighbours back From Hell?

This is a remastered collection of two prank-based puzzle games originally released roughly fifteen years ago. The first game sends Woody into Rottweiler's house, where you lay traps across multiple rooms while avoiding the grumpy homeowner. The second game takes the feud on the road, with Rottweiler attempting to escape his tormentor during holidays in India, Mexico, and China. Rottweiler's miserly mother joins as a secondary hazard in the later stages, and another unfriendly neighbor adds a third set of eyes you need to dodge.

The core loop is simple to grasp but tricky to master. You find objects scattered around each level, then figure out where to use them. A rotten egg smeared across a microwave, marbles spread across the floor Home Alone-style, or a raging bull unleashed on your target — each trap triggers a reaction, and the game tracks how angry Rottweiler gets with a meter on the left side of the screen. Chain traps quickly to keep that meter high and you'll earn a better score at the end of the level.

Key Features

• Two full games in one remaster: The original house-based prank campaign plus the globe-trotting sequel with new locations and characters.
• Stealth-puzzle gameplay: Track Rottweiler's movement pattern room by room and avoid being caught, or you'll lose one of three lives per level.
• Object-based trap crafting: Find items, figure out where they belong, and set up slapstick chain reactions for maximum rage.
• Anger meter scoring: Keep Rottweiler's temper high and finish levels fast to earn the best possible score.
• Dual camera perspective: Switch between Woody's view and an overhead view at any time to watch your traps execute up close.
• Pseudo-claymation art style: A distinctive look that has aged well and gives the game a timeless indie feel.
• Progressive difficulty: Later levels add extra floors, watchful parrots, sleeping dogs, and more complex patrol routines.

Pros & Cons

Pros

• Clever puzzle design that rewards planning and observation.
• Two complete games bundled together, offering roughly five hours of content.
• Charming visual style that still feels fresh.
• Simple controls that are easy to pick up on Switch.
• New vacation settings in the sequel break up the repetition.

Cons

• Some glitches, including missing textures that leave white spaces later in the game.
• A typo in the restart prompt ("Are your sure?") that was never fixed.
• Early levels can feel repetitive, with the same traps and spots to check.
• Invisible boundary issues let Woody walk beyond the intended play area in some spots.

Gameplay and Level Design

Each level tasks you with setting up a certain number of pranks — typically around 75 to 80 percent of the total — before you can leave. You don't have to trigger every single trap unless you're chasing a perfect score. As you progress, Rottweiler's routines become harder to track, and the addition of a watchful parrot or a sleeping dog makes creeping through the house more difficult. The second game's international settings add new hazards, including Rottweiler's mother and another less-than-cordial neighbor, each of whom can cost Woody a life if you're spotted.

The camera toggle is a small but useful feature. Switching between Woody's perspective and the overhead view lets you keep an eye on your target while also getting a close-up of your handiwork. The puzzle element is where the game shines — finding an object and figuring out where to use it elsewhere in the level delivers a strong sense of satisfaction. If you enjoy that kind of environmental problem-solving, you might also like the puzzle variety found in the 3in1 Game Collection Backgammon Checkers Mills Switch Nsp Free Download, which offers a different flavor of brain-teasing entertainment.

Trust Signals and Version Freshness

The version listed here is an estimate based on the current description and should be treated as the latest available build at the time of publication. The developer credit on record is Charlotte White. The file size is 12 GB, so plan your storage accordingly before downloading. The download is hosted on DataNodes and does not require an account. No malware-scanning claims are made here — you should always verify files with your own security tools before running them.

For installation, you'll need a Switch environment that supports NSP files, such as Yuzu or Ryujinx on desktop. The input does not provide a verified system requirements list beyond the general OS compatibility noted above, so check your emulator's documentation for specific hardware guidance. If you're new to Switch emulation, the general process involves loading the NSP into your emulator, creating a profile, and pointing the emulator to your game folder.

How to Add DLC or Updates

If you download an update or DLC for this game, usually as an .nsp file, place it in the same folder as your base game. Then open your emulator and install it the same way you would the base game. The input includes a visual guide for this process, but the core steps are: download the update, put it in the game folder, and let the emulator detect it.

Who Should Play This?

Neighbours back From Hell is for players who enjoy light stealth, environmental puzzles, and slapstick humor. It's not a fast-paced action game — the pace is deliberate, and you'll spend time watching patrol patterns and planning your route. If you've played the originals on another platform, this remaster gives you both games in one place with the same core mechanics. If you're new to the series, the simple controls and gradual difficulty curve make it an easy entry point. The roughly five-hour runtime means it won't overstay its welcome, though the early repetition is a real tradeoff you should know about going in.
