Why? I dunno, they probably thought it was just neat to do, and I think so too. Once you start up the game, you’re thrust into the first run and gun stage, where you get to grips with the game’s controls. You have your usual shooting and jumping, along with the ability to swap between four different weapon types, and deploy their respective bombs, which slowly recharge over time. So the controls feel pretty akin to Contra III in that regard, with Super Metroid-esque diagonal aiming on L1/R1 for good measure. The true magic of Rendering Ranger R2 however, comes from the side scrolling shooting stages. Thanks to a genre shift that had no reason to be there, the Rendering Ranger will jump in a ship and fly between planets to take down airborne enemies, with multiple stages being done in this format. You still have your weapon switching and bomb/shoot mechanics from the run and gun levels, but now the jump button is one that instead flips your ship around horizontally, letting you fire at enemies coming from behind. I preferred the bouncing Mirror shot. And to deal with some very annoying bosses, I made frequent use of the Laser shot, especially its Mega Weapon variant. Really, the only shot I almost never used was the Wide shot. Sure, it shoots in several directions at once, but I felt it was less concentrated than the already powerful Vulcan shot. Another way the game distinguishes itself is that you don’t die from a single hit, which is a godsend. The titular Ranger can take five shots before he wipes out. Hit boxes and movements are a tad loose, knockbacks and recovery just shy of sufficient, and certain enemy placements and obstacles can grind one’s gears. The stages are inordinately long in places, occasionally in danger of overstaying their welcome, and it takes approximately two hours to put the whole thing to bed. It defaults to Hard, too, so watch out, as it can be tricky even on Normal which is just a bearded sprite swap, as well as options for screen adjustments, rewind features, and CRT filters. Step by step guide

1. 1. First you will need YUZU Emulator. Download it. Open it in WinRar, 7ZIP idk and then move the contents in a folder and open the yuzu.exe.
