Robonauts Switch NSP Free Download When I first jumped into Robonauts, the game felt incredibly easy. Its controls are simple, and its story is very, very simple. QubicGames even did something smart with the game’s story. While there really is not much to it, they crafted it in the form of a guide. Info about what players are about to do and why is told in a few sentences before starting each level. In the 2D shooter, you play the role of a robonaut who travels to 12 systems to perform tasks. Each task is different and is tied to the story, while the story’s outcome is predictable every task is fun. Whether it involves keeping another character safe or jumping from planet to planet activating mining lasers, doing so while listening to the upbeat sounds of Simon Viklund kept me engaged. Viklund’s soundtrack mixed with the colorful levels are a gorgeous blend. One cool thing I also noticed while playing is how the robonaut moves in-tune with the music. It is a small detail but impressive none the less. As you take down various enemies, you collect different types of weapons and bombs. The range of weaponry in Robonauts is impressive as no two types of weapons are the same. One minute I’m blasting through enemies with a machine gun, and the next I’m firing a cannon whose ammo travels around the world I’m on and attacks every enemy and organism on it.
The bombs also have different effects and damage types on enemies.
Using ice bombs to freeze pods that generate enemies works better than using napalm bombs in some cases. Same goes for other bomb types and enemies. Though it is a simple game, I was amazed by how much time I spent strategizing my attacks. While I did die plenty of times, I never grew frustrated. Instead, I saw each restart as a chance to try out a new strategy, and when it worked I felt an instant rush of accomplishment. The way each level is mapped out is unique in various ways. But it is the number of levels QuebicGames put in Robonauts that feels just right. By putting 12 levels in the game, none of the missions and tasks feel repetitive. Memory Lane 2 Switch NSP

It feels like a Netflix show that uses eight episodes to tell a perfect story instead of unnecessarily stretching it out to 13 episodes. Multiplayer is also a fun feature as well. By splitting the Joy-Con, two players can play split-screen co-op or battle it out against each other and try to see who can kill the most enemies. You can also choose the look of your robonaut. The way the split-screen is used is perfect for the game. Instead of using the traditional top and bottom layout, the screen is split down the middle. My only complaint with the multiplayer has to do with its lack of harsh penalties in the versus mode. It is great to be able to respawn countless times, but the time in-between them was a bit short and it kept the match too close throughout.
If the time between respawns was longer
You couldn’t fire immediately then it would have been better. Jumping from planet to planet was fun, but got dizzying after a while and I had to stop playing for a few minutes. Outside of those two things, Robonauts is one of the most fun games I have ever played on the Switch. It is very accessible, vibrant, and great for gamers of all skill sets. Also, its character designs are really fascinating and, in some cases, adorable at the same time. The planet hopping concept is one that we’ve seen before on a much grander scale, and it is capable of working quite well at any level when properly executed. Thankfully, the quality design of Robonauts makes this core mechanic fun. With the ability to switch gravity at the press of a button, the action becomes increasingly frantic as you move ROBO around planets of different shapes and sizes, shooting weird creatures and attempting to keep the chaos under control. Each level expands on the initial idea of blasting alien creatures by introducing a diverse range of mission objectives that must be completed before you can escape. These become progressively harder over time. Some missions require you to simply destroy everything in sight, whereas others have you blowing up or defending important devices within a certain time frame. The odds often feel stacked against you, and this can be even more challenging if you are playing on the hard difficulty setting rather than the normal one. Many of these missions demand that you micro-manage; for example, you might be required to destroy a bunch of alien nests while also eliminating multiple waves of creatures at the same time.
Each enemy in Robonauts looks different and has its own pattern of movement.
There are creatures that resemble wasps, crab-like aliens that scuttle along the ground and even “Rampers” which are best described as Triceratops that can shoot laser beams. These creatures deal a lot of damage; Boss enemies can also be a hassle. Fortunately, green extraterrestrial blobs called “Bloobs” appear when you defeat your foe, and these can be collected to replenish the robot’s health bar. These pick-ups often aren’t satisfactory enough, meaning you’ll need to make the best possible use of your weapons. These weapons are based on the types of guns featured in a standard arcade shooter. There are rocket launchers, timed mines, molotov cocktails, cluster missiles, and regular single shot and fully automatic blasters. One minor issue regarding the weapons is how ROBO has a habit of collecting any primary or secondary drop nearby, often replacing a vastly superior or preferred one that is already equipped. On a more positive note, all of the weapons auto-lock onto targets, and for the sake of convenience you can simply hold down the buttons on the controller to continually spray enemies. This doesn’t necessarily make levels any easier as you will still need to be able to out manoeuvre countless waves in order to survive.
