Songbird Symphony Switch NSP Free Download Every so often there comes a game that you just want to root for. A game that has come from a place of such overwhelming positivity and good will that the idea of criticising it feels wrong, because to criticise it would be akin to throwing kittens and ducklings down a well. Songbird Symphony is one such game. Songbird Symphony is a rhythm game crossed with platformer that is a broad retelling of The Ugly Duckling.ROMSLAB.COM BEST SWITCH GAMES

Wrap your head around that one. You play as Birb – a little chick full of soul and an endless capacity to want to help. Birb’s not like the other birds he was brought up with, however, and his “father” is a bit of an odd one. So of course Birb is subject to both implicit and explicit bullying, before he decides to set off on a quest for discovery and to learn who he is. Along the way he finds other birds to help out, encounters other misfits, and overall goes through the most sentimental coming of age experience that I think I’ve ever seen in a video game.
An incredibly well-made rhythm platformer
Songbird Symphony has taken the time to turn a standard rhythm game into an utterly charming and comedic take on an adopted bird’s quest to find his family. Balanced with standard platformer exploration and problem-solving fare, Joysteak Studios has created an adorable masterpiece that is entirely more fun to play than it has any right to be. Starting out in a bird-filled forest, players meet the creatively-named Birb, an orphaned baby bird who is taken under the rather large wing of an eccentric peacock, Uncle Pea. After learning some sweet dance moves from his adoptive uncle, Birb realizes he might not be a peacock afterall and sets out to find his real family through the help of the wise Owl. With medieval chicken fortresses and maze-like pipes built by dancing mountain penguins, the worlds are an utter delight to explore, offering new challenges and secrets to find in each area.
The music sections provide much more challenge
The musical “score” comes in an assortment of formats, some easier to read than others. It’s all listen-and-repeat phrases but the complexity will have you playing by ear more than by reading, as the score progresses into harmonies and canons. S ranks are tough to get and fun, although the difficulty curve is a bit wobbly. Thankfully, a passing C grade is awarded with incredible leniency, so you can just get on with the gentle platforming if you prefer.Trials of Mana Switch NSP

The music’s catchy: lo-fi midi-style stuff, cleverly making the most of its follow-the-bouncing-ball sing-along lyrics in place of voice. Interacting with the music lifts its appeal and it can withstand a few playthroughs without getting old. The main theme will get into your head in a way that is annoying and entirely appropriate. Graphically, most of the pixel art is charming and funny, a couple of weaker elements stand out but they are not around for much of the game.
Its story is a little too brief
The only real downside to Songbird Symphony is that its story is a little too brief. The whole narrative can be completed in around six hours, four if you’re really rushing, and while there are plenty of collectable feathers to hunt down in addition to each stage’s notes, there’s no real advantage offered by them in battles. If you’re looking for an endlessly inventive platformer that you can finish in an afternoon, you’re golden. Everyone else: you have been warned.Trials of Mana Switch NSP

Despite its brief length, Songbird Symphony earns its place on Nintendo Switch as one of the most charming 2D puzzlers to release this year. It’ll charm your socks off with its clever characters and wry humour, and while Birb’s quest might be a simple one, this music-fuelled adventure offers enough fresh tunes to be worth buying and bopping along to.Two Point Hospital JUMBO Edition Switch NSP
