Synth Riders Switch NSP Free Download Romslab As you are riding through the level and hitting the orbs, it never feels like they quite line up with the beats, and you never really believe that you are driving the song. It feels more like you are just along for the ride. If you miss an orb or don’t hit it just right, there is no real feedback, and therefore, no real sense of how well or badly you are doing at each level. I don’t think this makes Synth Riders a lousy experience, but for me, I can’t get behind it if I can’t feel that sense of accomplishment after each level. I’m aware there are multiple types of gamers out there. As I previously stated, I need instant feedback. I need to know how I am doing at any given moment. ROMSLAB
Others are more laidback and want more of an experience rather than a serious game. And that is precisely how I would classify Synth Riders. If you want a game that allows you to lose a little focus and enjoy your surroundings and the beautiful music, this is the game for you in control of two spheres, and your goal is to move these spheres and hit the same coloured spheres as accurately as possible. The game has a robust fifty-nine songs in its standard library as well as paid music packs from Muse, Gorillaz, League of Legends, and many others. With this many songs, two main ways to play (Rhythm mode and Force mode), five difficulty settings, lobby multiplayer.
Based on its synthwave roots, the soundtrack selection includes 28 songs from great artists such as Sunset Neon,
Dancing, while getting your heart and muscles pumping! When you boot up the game, you’re treated to a beautiful virtual reality hub, which you can change and customize to your liking. The gameplay is simple: your hands represents one coloured sphere each, one for when you need to use both hands together, and one freestyle, totaling to four coloured spheres, and you have to move your hands to hit the corresponding spheres. The stage also has obstacles to add a level of difficulty, but it plays perfectly to the beat of the song, making it seem as if you’re dancing. You can play the stages focusing on hitting the spheres, but the best way is listen to the music and the beat and let your arms flow. Blitz Breaker Switch NSP

The rhythm of the song is what the game does the best. Not only are there a great variety of tracks, the gameplay itself is so well choreographed that you feel like you are learning the dance moves that work perfectly with the song. The only tricky part once you learn the flow is to ensure that you are hitting the spheres as accurately as you can for maximum points. The game works very well in Rhythm mode, but it also has another way to play called Force Mode. The difference is that instead of focusing on rhythm, you get more points if you are “hitting” the spheres. This adds a completely different dynamic to the game because you have to rethink how to tackle the song.
Ready for even more music? Explore DLC artist packs featuring Lady Gaga, Gorillaz, Monstercat artists, and more.
Add the five different difficulty levels (I played in Hard and Expert) and you have yourself a robust rhythm game. Another option Synth Riders have is the option to create a Multiplayer lobby and play with friends or publicly. This was added as a free update later after launch of the game. Once you’re in the lobby, you can chat with others, choose a song, difficulty, challenges and see overall scores. When the song starts and everyone plays it, chat is muted and you can see other’s scores as they are playing at the same time. It’s a fun way to compete and chat with others while you can still experience a mostly single player rhythm game. Blizzard Arcade Collection Switch

Don’t get me wrong, it was already fantastic but a few years of work has added a massive list of new features in addition to the aforementioned song expansion. While many folks will play this game solo, the Remastered Edition brings with it the cross-platform multiplayer that just recently launched on the Meta Quest 2. It adds a social element to the game that you wouldn’t expect. Stacking up head-to-head versus another player online, you’ll play the track simultaneously as your scores are displayed at the top of the screen. As you progress through the song you’ll see the leader position bounce back and forth until you finally cross the finish line.
Dodge obstacles, perform aerial stunts, and feel the rush of moving perfectly to the music.
Additional settings like randomized colors, boosts, activated power-ups, and even an embiggen mode to make the notes huge. If you are so inclined, you can enable push-to-talk or open channel voice chat, though I find that I’m usually concentrating far too much to talk during gameplay. It’s a cool addition, and with the built in capabilities of the PSVR2, it’s all made easy. Better still, it supports cross-platform play, so you can stack up to 10 people into a head-to-head battle. I did run into one issue in playing with folks on the PC – custom songs. While I have all of the tracks available to the PSVR2, folks on the PC are able to mod their game and introduce new songs or ones that have been adjusted.

I would have happily recorded a session, but they also have a penchant for swearing it seems. At least they are happy and enthusiastic about it! There are five difficulties to keep you entertained, as well as two slightly different ways to play. Rhythm mode will score you based on how accurately you get in the middle of the orbs. This is the mode you’d expect there to be – the more perfect your collision, the higher the score. Then you have Force mode, which makes you actually punch the orbs – the harder you hit, the higher the score. At least in theory, because I found it difficult to get higher scores despite swinging my arms as hard as possible. Block-a-Pix Deluxe Switch NSP
