Rin is always ready, whip in hand, fierce and fiery, Jack is talented, cunning and mysterious, and Goemon is angsty yet calm and collected, perhaps the most romantic of the bunch, and for good reason. The visual storytelling is key here, a lot of detail can be gleaned from a simple look, which is a crucial thing to get right when the creators want you to fall for their characters. The way all of the main characters interact with each other is one of my favourite parts of the game. Kikunosuke Uga, Sharaku Toushuusai, and Yona Murakami. However, while these men are willing to work for her father, they have no such loyalty to her. The youngest of the group is Kikunosuke Uga , who is 17 years old . He was a master thief in life and can now transform into a wolf as a damned one. He is a little bundle of energy, loves arcade games and behaves like a typical high school boy. Characters like him are sometimes good and sometimes bad for me, but since I am a big dog fan and wolves are not far off, Kikunosuke has naturally gained some plus points. Sharaku Toushuusai died at the age of 18 and was an artist who focused on the ukiyo-e genre. He is a cleanliness freak, a charmer and can also be very cynical and provocative.

As a provisional Hell Guardian, it’s Rin’s job to lead and keep the prisoners in line. However, the hardened criminals naturally see her provisional status—and gender—as a weakness to exploit. At the cost of a different story expectation: Rin and the prisoners must defeat the escapees in battle and bring them back to Hell, but they can’t just train to get stronger and challenge their adversaries. The story quickly establishes the escapees as impossible to defeat—unless the route’s love interest can unlock the true potential of their Desire.
