The Bug Butcher Switch NSP Free Download The Bug Butcher is a spiritual successor to a game called Pang. Pang was originally released in 1989 in arcades and had one or two people trying to survive wave after wave of bouncing balls. It came to the SNES too, so it gets extra marks there, bu I have a huge amount of nostalgia for it because it is at least partially responsible for my GCSE grades. You see, flash games were pretty big when I was in secondary school, and naturally the only thing that we wanted to do as students was play these. Pang was one of the flash games that stood out and, as we outsmarted the teachers trying to stop us playing, we spent hours upon hours playing it instead of studying.ROMSLAB.COM BEST SWITCH GAMES

The aim of Pang is simply to survive, and to do this you simply fire up above your character in order to destroy the big red balls bouncing around the level. Each time you hit them they split, until they are so small that they disappear. It’s an incredibly simple premise, but one that is so incredibly gratifying that it gets its hooks into you almost instantly. Add in the fact that you could play with a friend, and you have a game so good that it could easily knock a couple of grades off.
Bust those bugs, bro!
I remain confused as to why the Pang series doesn’t inspire more imitators. You may know it as Buster Bros. over here, but this is a game where you fire a weapon upwards to shoot and split large bubbles into smaller bubbles. 13AM’s Pirate Pop Plus is a memorable follow-up that features some unique hooks, and I’m happy to report that The Bug Butcher, by Awfully Nice Studios, scratches that same itch. You take on the role of a cranky but lovable exterminator in the future who’s been called to eradicate a nasty infestation in a science facility.Evolution Board Game Switch NSP

Notably, these space bugs tend to be rotund, travel mainly by bouncing, and can often be split into smaller bugs. The game’s main Arcade Mode is a stage-based progression in which the exterminator is chaperoned through the facility by one or more scientists. Their job is to provide you with perks during encounters with your prey. You will also have to occasionally protect them from long-tongued invaders who crawl across the ceiling. As in Pang, the exterminator can only fire upwards as all manner of bulbous aliens bounce around the room.
To balance this out
You occasionally get new guns, like rocket launchers and laser rifles, and the ability to combine them with powers such as double damage and faster firing, but all of those have limited stock. Killing enemies helps you fill up a meter that lets you unleash one of three different randomly chosen abilities for a limited amount of time. The ice grenade freezes all enemies, including ones that come into the scene. You have the chance to unleash a barrage of dumb rockets, which greatly damage any enemy that comes close to them. You also have the chance to activate some speed boots that let you zip around the level while granting you temporary invincibility.Daemon X Machina Switch NSP

Killing enemies also drops coins, which help you upgrade your weapons and abilities and grant new perks, such as increased overall movement speed or a shield so you can absorb one extra hit. The best way to describe The Bug Butcher is that it’s a mix of the seminal shooter Galaga with the puzzle elements of Super Pang and Buster Bros. Each level is set in a room, with enemies arriving in waves from several openings in the stages. Enemies tend to bounce, stick to the ceiling, or make giant leaps whenever they get close to you. By comparison, your actions are very limited.
The campaign spans 30 levels
Each of them evenly split into five different stages. The objective always remains the same, which is to clear out the enemy population before time expires, and in typical arcade fashion, the challenge escalates as you progress. New enemies get introduced every few stages, and new environmental obstacles are added, such as barriers to restrict movement and a giant hammer to avoid in the center of the stage. One thing you’ll notice is that the end of each stage doesn’t give you a boss fight. Instead, you’re given another gauntlet of enemies to fight, but extra guns aren’t occasionally thrown in to help you out. DARK SOULS REMASTERED Switch NSP

For the most part, The Bug Butcher is enjoyable due to the smooth shooting. It satisfies, and there’s never a time when your guns feel woefully underpowered for the job. The game has a variable difficulty level, but it never feels too challenging. You’ll experience a few deaths while playing on the normal difficulty level, where you can take four hits before expiring, but there’s no real roadblock that stops you from finishing the game in the span of an afternoon. The easy difficulty really lives up to its name, as the eight hits it affords you is more than enough to breeze through the title, but the hard difficulty level only allows one hit before death.Darksiders Genesis Switch
