Let me give you a rundown of The Last Friend. So, you start off with this RV and a talking chihuahua/cyborg that defends your RV from these kinds of desert mobs and bosses. That’s the first area in the demo, but there are apparently a variety of level types–snow, etc. it’s pretty much a button-mashing experience, which I do like. Not a whole lot of coordination is necessary, but you’ll want to defend your RV. I don’t know what its purpose is or anything, but after you beat a level, you will make friends with a NEW DOG. Woah. I Recommend The Last Friend–At Least the Demo! If you have a switch, just check out this demo before the game releases in January. It’s a great way to see what it is about, and will probably help you decide if you want to buy it. smoothly blending both the arcade action of games like Streets of Rage with the strategical thinking of titles like Plants vs. Zombies, The Last Friend quickly becomes a battle of man and canine standing stalwart against the end of the world. The Last Friend brings in a horde of super-powered dogs to help players drive back the violent mutants and gangs of the apocalypse in a fun, fast-paced hybrid of Brawler and Tower Defense. And you have to keep an eye on your RV, repair or replace damaged defences, and collect as much scrap as possible. There are also special levels in between, such as attempting to clear the road for the RV during a sandstorm, or boss fights that will reward you with new abilities but up the challenge by restricting which dogs you can take in with you. While there is a story, it’s not much of a focal point. The dialogue is occasionally hilarious though, littered with pop culture references and in-jokes. Of course, the true fun comes from mixing and matching your furry friends, who you can rename, by the way. There are lots of different tactics and strategies, and multiple stops along the road to freedom.

Puppy Party

When you make camp you can spend quality time with your pooches, petting them and getting to know them. Your talking chihuahua, T. Juan, acts as the brains of the operation in many ways, but you’ll slowly find that the other dogs start to make sense to Alpha as you progress. Here you can also upgrade your RV, improving its defences and overall survivability for life on the road. There’s very little to complain about in The Last Friend. It’s simple enough to jump into for five minutes, but just complex enough to keep you thinking about it when you’re done. It’s perhaps a better fit for the Switch, or even mobile, than the PC I reviewed it on but that’s hardly a negative. All in all its just a very likeable, charming little game with some funny dialogue, a big pile of lovely fluffy doggos to fall in love with, and a pleasant art style that makes the whole thing seem refreshingly sweet and light. Any dog love will get a kick out of The Last Friend. While I’m still not sure I’ve encountered a huskie, The Last Friend has a wealth of dogs to collect. The whole concept swells into dog punters nearly as much as I have and it looks like a charm. The four-legged companions are leveled up using dog treats, collected during combat, and nods to Mad Max inspired road warriors just make it all the more fun when you’re busy trying to find every wayward hound for the in game codex.

Step by step guide

1. 1. First you will need YUZU Emulator. Download it. Open it in WinRar, 7ZIP idk and then move the contents in a folder and open the yuzu.exe.
   2. There click Emulation -> Configure -> System -> Profile Then press on Add and make a new profile, then close yuzu
   3. Inside of yuzu click File -> Open yuzu folder. This will open the yuzu configuration folder inside of explorer.
   4. Create a folder called "keys" and copy the key you got from here and paste it in the folder.
   5. For settings open yuzu up Emulation -> Configure -> Graphics, Select OpenGL and set it to Vulkan or OpenGL. (Vulkan seems to be a bit bad atm) Then go to Controls and press Single Player and set it to custom
   6. Then Press Configure and set Player 1 to Pro Controller if you have a controller/keyboard and to Joycons if Joycons. Press Configure and press the exact buttons on your controller After you're done press Okay and continue to the next step.
   7. Download any ROM you want from Romslab. After you got your File (can be .xci or .nsp) create a folder somewhere on your PC and in that folder create another folder for your game.
   8. After that double-click into yuzu and select the folder you put your game folder in.
   9. Lastly double click on the game and enjoy it.

NOTE: Some games may not run in Yuzu emulator, therefore you may use Ryujinx.
