The Star Named EOS Switch NSP Free Download Romslab They can defy our version of events, and settle ‘that’s not how it happened’ arguments. In these cases, you could say fitting a photo into one’s memory becomes a…puzzle please think about that metaphor, because it’s the premise of The Star Named EOS. Silver Lining Studio and PLAYISM have delivered a puzzler built into an emotional narrative. And, like a photo, this game is just a brief snapshot, yet it manages to tell an in-depth story. In The Star Named EOS, you control Dei and view the world from a first-person perspective. ROMSLAB.COM Best Switch Games

The game is organised in chapters, each in a different location – from Dei’s childhood bedroom, to a train, to a café – as he traverses back through his memories. Each chapter begins with his mother’s voice reading out a letter. She always includes a sweet sentiment tinged with sadness, like ‘[stars] do not fade away just because you close your eyes’. Silver Lining masterfully inject nostalgia into every scene – no easy feat when the player hasn’t been here before. Dei’s childhood bedroom is filled with peeling posters and well-loved picture books.
You will slowly uncover the truth of a family mystery, and the love hidden within fragmented memories will eventually become clear.
The café is home to half-sipped coffee and chairs askew. These scenes have stories to tell. And the story shines, depicting Dei’s relationship with his mother alongside topics of memory, trauma and belonging. Everything is wrapped in an astrologically-themed narrative that shifts as you play. Now, if that description sounds vague, that’s because we’re trying to provide a snapshot while cropping out the spoilers. We will say this, though: the love between mother and son warmed our hearts, and, at the apex of the plot, we had tears, and stars, in our eyes. Freeride Switch NSP

Time you’ll be solving puzzles point-and-click style. Some of these are pretty standard, like opening a box by completing a sliding block puzzle, but some are a bit more involved, requiring you to be more perceptive. One puzzle near the start for example was a locked drawer with a spinning dial. Each of these dials had different symbols that could be selected, as well as a letter above each that spelled out NEWS. After using a compass to determine where north was, you can begin to deduce which symbols are required by finding them hidden throughout each cardinal direction.
As the young photographer Dei, the player sets off on a journey following in the footsteps of his absent mother.
While I won’t give away the answer here in puzzles like this one helped flesh out the game in more interesting ways. Following the story of Dei, things kick off with a letter and a photo from his adventurous mother. Getting a camera as a birthday present, this photography protégé sets out to take a number of pictures of his own. Players immerse themselves in its story across different vantage points. The Star Named EOS brings players through a number of different chapters, transporting them to train carriages, lakeside campsites, café’s and other areas. Freedom Planet 2 Switch NSP

It’s a slow burn, but The Star Named EOS prides itself on its world building as players get a chance to know Dei and his mother through its approximately two hour tale. Players are not given the whole story in The Star Named EOS, gradually piecing the overarching story and its intricacies as things progress – sometimes literally. However, The Star Named EOS is a journey well worth taking. To aid in its immersion, The Star Named EOS gives players free rein over their camera. Players can take pictures of whatever they’d like, but there are a number of points of interest that can be added to Dei’s scrapbook.
With the guidance of his mother’s voice ringing from deep within his heart, he takes the first step on a journey to discover the truth of his mother’s absence…
This is a huge plus, as it gives players the chance to appreciate the beauty that can be found in the smaller details of each area. Some pictures are done to move the plot forward and need to be staged just right, but some of The Star Named EOS’ best segments are when players truly live in the here and now. After completing my first set of immaculately nested, point-and-click-like puzzles — which wonderfully achieve the effect of making me feel astute while being fairly straightforward — I simply appear in a new location. The developers play with gaming conventions of fast forwarding to central moments to keep me from looking too deeply into why this might be until

After several more impeccable puzzle-solving, narrative-driven scenes — actual reality crashes from the sky like a meteor this climactic narrative moment intersected with a communication descent. For the first time in the short game, which only took three hours to complete, I was at a loss for what to do. My resulting frustration dampened the emotional impact of this otherwise dramatic scene, and there would be times later where a lack of signposting would induce me to lose my way — literally. You’ll no doubt have encountered in-game photography countless times before, but in The Star Named EOS, it’s the main function. Freedom Planet Switch NSP
