The Swords of Ditto Mormo’s Curse Switch NSP Free Download The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse borrows heavily from Nintendo’s popular series in this way, but takes things a step further by imagining what it would be like if this cycle were infused with roguelike elements. The final result is mostly a success, with some missteps here or there, but on the whole, it manages to fuse the open-world adventure and roguelike genres reasonably well.ROMSLAB.COM BEST SWITCH GAMES

The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse follows the story of “The Sword”, a hero whose name, gender, and race changes with each new iteration, even if the ‘core’ of the hero remains the same. The Sword’s great task is to rid the Isle of Ditto of the evil forces of the witch Mormo, who wishes to subjugate the land and all its inhabitants under her cruel and selfish rule. Should the Sword be defeated in the climactic confrontation, 100 years of sorrow and darkness will follow as the people wait for a new Sword to rise up, while if the Sword strikes down Mormo, she’ll enter a 100-year sleep and rise again once she rejuvenates.
Story
Every century, diabolically opposed entities – one of light and one of darkness – are born into the world of Ditto. The darkness takes the form of Mormo, a psychotic sorceress obsessed with global domination while the light chooses someone to be its champion – the Sword of Ditto. This cycle is never ending, but defeating Mormo means that the land will know a time of peace, while failing not only leads to the Sword’s early demise, but an inevitable era of oppression for its citizens as well. The world of Ditto is inhabited by all sorts of friendly beings and ferocious foes. Many of these characters are thematically appropriate to their environment – robotic creatures can be found in the more industrial zones while a seafaring Walrus(?) makes his home in a lighthouse by the sea. Friendly NPCs, more often than not, will provide humorous banter rather than meaningful context, but it is nice to see that the citizens can make light of a truly vicious cycle of peace and war. Certainly, the playful conversations make the cartoony aesthetic that much more appropriate also.
Gameplay
The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse is an action/adventure RPG that is not so different mechanically to 2D Zelda games, but with more of an RPG flair. The landscape, caves, dungeons, and even the main town are randomized every run, adding a sense of realism – whether intended or not – to the whole 100 year cycle quite cleverly. With sword in hand, you’ll explore numerous areas filled with friends, foes, and and secrets just waiting to be discovered.Ultra Age Switch NSP

Of course, your main objective is to take down Mormo herself. In your first cycle, you will have all the time in the world to sniff out items, upgrades, and locations – at least until your hero reaches level six. Then, you will have 24 in-game hours before you are forced to take on the Sorceress on their turf. Subsequent runs are a bit more tricky however, seeing as you are limited to five in-game days to prepare rather than the more casual approach in the first round.
I can’t do this alone
It is highly recommended that you play The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse with a friend. It’s easier to solve puzzles and deal with enemies when someone is watching your back. In addition, some of the puzzles I encountered in dungeons seemed impossible without a partner. There was one point where my loved one threw me over a wall to activate a switch. All I could think was, “Wait, how was I supposed to do that by myself?” Ultra Street Fighter II The Final Challengers Switch NSP

This was not the only instance where I was perplexed by The Swords of Ditto‘s design. Every cycle, you must visit dungeons in a specific order to be able to destroy Mormo’s anchors. If you decide to traverse the map freely without subscribing to this linearity, you will eventually reach dungeons you cannot access. This is due to the fact you need unique Toys of Legend in order to open certain entrances. I wish the title offered more freedom in this regard
